I think that's true of his base. Not of the swing voters that seemed to do a 180 this time around. Abortion rights were and generic "Trump is dangerous" took center stage. Explaining how tariffs would likely lead to a recession that would tank a lot of 401k's isn’t something I heard even one time.

I feel like we pointed out all kinds of things about his economic plans, and a quick google search shows that Kamala did point out that it could cause a recession.

Pointing it out and making it a focal point are two vastly different things though, right. All I saw nonstop was "He'll take away your abortion rights" and "He's a danger to democracy".

To be clear, maybe a different focus with the same candidate yields the same result. I have no idea. All I know is that what they tried...didn't work. Or come close to working.

Biden did put in place an EO that he could have in the beginning. Not sure he put back the stay in Mexico stuff. Mexico doesn't like migrants to their own country unless they are just sending them through. And look... for decades Mexico is happy to send their poor over. They haven't been a good partner.
