Dana White Urges Winner of Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic to Fight Tom Aspinall

Urge is more like a wish. Good luck with that.

99% of guys in MMA don't make the pay Jones and Stipe have in their last handful of fights. They are both multimillionaires and will get another 7 figure payday fighting each other.

These two inactive old farts will retire after the fight because they are already semi-retired, don't "need" the money and Jon knows he will spoil his record and take serious damage losing to Aspinall.

Stipe got murdered in his last fight and decided to sit out for years until a high paying, low risk match came along. I suppose he's at least more likely to fight than Jones, but I still doubt it.

I don't think Stipe gets payed that good, UFC HW GOAT with lower draw numbers gets you one or two mill max while defending the belt. I remember that Stipe was so pissed he didn't clear a mill and Reem made more in that hometown tittle defense he had.

Now Jones did get more pay but that dude also spends with his nightclubs, hookers, coke and will be forced to fight until the wheels fall off. I remember in that Vegas incident with his 'fiance' he casually came back to the hotel room to get another 10k in cash or something like that for him to waste, you got to understand with what you are dealing here, he just talks about retirement but its all smoke to try and get a better bag.

Jones will fuck up Stipe's rusty ass and hooopefully his Ego makes him fight Aspinall, i really want to see Jones go out on a loss.

Thanks to discovery in the class action, much of it is now a matter of public record.

Jon Jones’ payouts
$2,278,553 vs. Rashad Evans
$1,566,196 vs. Vitor Belfort
$2,750,000 vs. Chael Sonnen — Sonnen received $1,050,000
$1,173,560 vs. Alexander Gustafsson
$1,237,880 vs. Glover Teixeira
$3,637,500 vs. Daniel Cormier 1 — Cormier received $1,140,000
$2,677,530 vs. Ovince St. Preux

Jon made a similar amount in his second fight with DC, and we can confidently estimate he's cleared another 5m since the OSP fight. I agree Jon is a degenerate but he's had a 7 figure yearly income for over a decade. He's not going broke, he can blow 10k in Vegas.

Guys going broke with that income have a large paid entourage and absurd properties and vehicles. Jon has none of that and both of his brothers have a net worth in the tens of millions.

Jon will not fight again against someone like Aspinall for a payday. Zero chance IMO.

Stipe had a flat purse of $650k against Reem, and was paid a bonus (also known from class action discovery) and his pay went up from there. He's made millions of dollars in his fights with DC. He's 41, works a good job he cares about, lives in a low cost of living area and is a pretty simple family man.

I don't see a 42 year old Stipe fighting Aspinall for money, he might do it because he's a competitor.

Jones did better with this 2 to 4 mill paydays but they don't seem that big to be safe from going broke.
We all heard about NFL and NBA players going broke and they made way more then Jones. Or in fighting didn't Tyson ended up losing 400 mill that is impressive so I don't put it past Jones to waste his own 30 or 40 mill that he made till now.

Jon Jones: "Francis is a Big Ol' Pu$$y"

*Francis leaves MMA to make Fury look human and take a huge L from AJ like a brave fighter while Jon doing all the excuses possible to avoid fighting Aspinall"

(Kinda remind me of when Bisping was ducking Romero but Bisping fought motivated GSP tho, and also he returned 3 weeks later after losing the belt to him to fight and lose to a prime KG).

I think Stipe vs Jon is a BS fight cause Jon is the champ of fighters' division in which in Stipe's era was more different, all the guys Stipe has fought are no longer in the rankings or in the UFC, and Stipe hasn't fought for a while so he isn't considered a part of the sport (kinda also like when Lesnar almost fought DC in 2019, now Stipe is doing the same thing that he hated in the past), also I heard it all the time every now and then that Stipe's legacy is made of beating HW's which weren't at their peak/best versions while Stipe himself was in his prime when he fought them, so how Stipe would stand a ghost of a chance against Jon let alone the fact he's Semi-Retired?

Aspinall whom is the current No. 1 contender and interim champion and probably is in his prime vs Jon whom is now the current undisputed HW champ and probably is hitting his stride is definitely the fight to make but it's understandable that the UFC is about the money and fights that bring attention, the UFC thinks Stipe vs Jon is what would bring more attention but they are wrong, kinda same thing they did with Vera vs O'Malley or Colby vs Leon and both didn't sell that much.

The UFC should put on fights which is what's best for business cause it'd also bring more money than the fights they think it'd bring them money, that's why the UFC of now is boring compared to the UFC of the golden era of 2019-2022.

Dana just being Dana. Neither gives a damn about fighting Tom Aspinall. I barely care this point.

Heh, Dana is being based I guess. I mean, I don't think Jones SHOULD DEFINITELY fight Aspinall. He's already accomplished a lot in the sports, broke defense records. Most he'd have are trolls pestering him with comments that he didn't fight the ""best"" available there.

Tom Aspinall though, he's going to defend his interim belt... I've never seen that happening. I think he deserves a lot the honor to fight Jon Jones.

Jon Jones knows it's a huge challenge. He also knows he ain't young anymore, has gone through many and many hard fights, is coming through surgery... So there's a legacy thing and there's physical thing on the line too, pushing too much after a certain age and the body giving signs that it is not the same way, or maybe, that the HW body isn't fit for Jones to train at that intensity... It's totally fine for him not to fight and then Aspinall gets the belt upon Jones retiring. But at the same time, I feel Aspinall deserves it and I think Jones may be pondering this possibility. He didn't say he'd retire and that's it. He pushed for the Alex fight, but I think, with his competitive nature and the will to push one more layer and define his status in a way that there's no doubt, I think he's going to take on the Aspinall challenge one way or the other. I think it's going to happen.

And I'd give JJ the edge, I think he'd defeat Aspinall, but wow, it's a huge challenge for sure. I'm not surprised by either of Jones or Aspinall winning tbh.

That's just lip service from Dana White. If he wanted Jones to fight Tom Aspinall, then Tom Aspinall would be Jones' next challenge. Not Stipe, who looked done 3-4 years ago and hasn't been back in the octagon since.

The truth is that White is scared to death of his boy fighting Aspinall because that would mean the end of Jones' mystique and marketability as an undefeated legend. And Jones probably fears losing that too, because what would he have left? His sparkling personality?

What if Curtis wins? 🤔

Gonna laugh my ass off when jones gets caught by stipe and ko’d
