Media Dana suggests PPV isnt dead for potential mega stars.

If they ever get another Conor type star they will definitely do ppv again. They would be stupid not too. The money is too good on ppvs if the star is right.

PPVs are for niche sports that want to extract as much as they can out of a small fanbase.

If MMA wants "global fucking domination" and getting "bigger than soccer", PPVs need to die.

I am hopeful that Paramount+ is the start of a new great era.
This.
Well said.

Do you want to be a real sport or not.

MMA will always be bush league compared to soccer.

Even with the crazy prices ESPN could have done much better but they couldnt get the streams to work. Thats the only thing Paramount needs to worry about. PPVs are still a thing, just not in the 'pay 59.99 for this single event' type of way (I assume) ..... If the streams suck, dont work, etc - this is going to bite Paramount in the ass.

It kinda made sense when Dana said “We’re gonna have four “Big Events” a year.” This meant, we will give you a couple half assed championship cards that either are women title events or champions people do not care about.

The status quo is going to stay in place or as the Bald Goof says “It will be business as usual.”

What a joke.
