Media Dana Hints @ Islam Makhachev "BIG Fight" News Coming SOON

Yeah, but you have to take everything into account, like the fact that Volk is old and just got chin checked twice in arow. I mean sure if you wanna watch that happen again go ahead, but dude‘s got no chance, Ilija is a nightmare matchup for him.. How many featherweights won a title at that age? The answer is zero.

You still gotta give the man his chance. Volk got KO'd but it's not like he was dominated, he won the first round. He's the best FW of all time prior to Ilia, lets see if he can adjust. I would give him that credibility.

A fight absolutely no one wants to see, it wouldn’t be the first time the UFC changes their mind.

Oh I agree on the first part. That's why they will make it. Did you want to see Leon/Colby ? Thrilled about Jones/Stipe? Nah ? So they made it.

The returning Artem Lobov
I reckon Islam couldn't get underhooks on him, therefore going with Lobov by split decision lol

Yes, that would be a super interesting fight too. I just don’t know if they would do that because if Islam was to win, UFC would want them to have a title unification fight and I guess him and Belal are not fighting each other right?

Not to mention Shavkat might be hurt with his knee coming out of the Garry fight. We havent heard anything about it but I think its more likely Shavkat would be the one not ready to go rather than Belal. It sounds like he might be good to go by May so if they didnt do an interim fight with Garry/Shavkat they aint gonna do one now unless Bella had some sort of major setback thats gonna keep him out the rest of the year. And even then like you said if he beats Shavkat you force a fight they dont want so I think WW is off the table until they see what happens with Belal/Shavkat. If Belal wins maybe they do something else and if Shavkat wins they go for the belt.

Nah, It is the inaugural one night, four man tournament at 185 pounds. It will be Islam, Kahmzat, Nickel, and Prates, with Fluffy, and a fighter to be named later as back-up/alternates. It should be fun !

Islam verus Usman. For testing grounds. Usman is past his prime and Islam will figure out how is it to fight at WW. Then he gets title shot.

What the fuck are you talking about. Movsar. Lopes. Theyre waiting.
Movsar's best win is who? Maybe Lopes? The guy can't finish a sandwich and I thought he lost to Aljo.

And what's Lopes best win? Dan Ige? T-City who's lost like 4 of his last 5 fights?

Both guys are solid, but fuck neither of them had to beat a true contender to get a title shot, I'd have them rematch each other before giving either a championship fight.

And then they still won't have beat anyone good in your opinion.

Good thing your opinion is bupkis. Movsar is 19-0, went from being M1 champ and straight into a 9 fight win streak in the UFC, 4 of which were over ranked opponents (and would have been 5 if Mitchell didn't drop out and get replaced by Lopes, who skyrocketed into the rankings soon after).

Allen was rightfully top 5 when Evloev beat him. The fact he had to go backwards to beat former champ Aljo (ya know, "not a contender" somehow), just to keep him out of the title picture means he's just spinning his wheels until the title picture is ready for his deserved shot

I've never been big on automatic rematches, but the world we live in means Volk probably gets one, and if he decides to pass on it again or doesn't get it at all, Evloev should clearly be next

Are you stupid? Unlike Islam, Topuria has SEVERAL worthy challengers. Evloev is 19-0 (9-0 UFC), in his prime and has never fought for a title before. Diego Lopes 26-6 (5 fight win streak) also in his prime and his only loss in the organization was short notice to Evloev, in a competitive fight. Even Jean Silva is looking like a monster on the rise.
100%

It’s daft of people to argue otherwise tbh
