Could Aspinall beat Gane?

gane probably a nice guy but over rated...

Lol easily if he wanted too. He could take Gane down and submit him. On the feet it would be competitive but I'd still give the edge to Tom because of his power

Gane would be Aspinall's easiest matchup.

Gane lacks TKO/KO power. He isn't a submission threat. He has no ground game. He has no TDD. We've also seen him get rocked before with a suspect chin (see: Tai).

Aspinall wins any way he wants. And fast.

Just power. But Sherdoggers will try to convince you he's a HW Khabib because he has a football tackle style takedown he mixes in sometimes against low level grapplers. Gane has subbed low level guys himself, he struggled only against Ngannou and Jones, the likes of which Aspinall has never experienced.

Stuart Austin literally manhandled him like a child in the wrestling aspect. Creepy fanboy Sherdoggers will try to deny reality and convince you that Aspinall was winning the whole fight until a miracle sub because he had a little flurry right before that, but if you actually watch the fight he got bullied.
This is the kind of stupid you are born with and cannot be learned people

Great analysis. Better striker because...Tuivasa almost finished him standing? Because...Aspinall has wrecked everyone he's faced?

Tell us more!
Better striking because he looks pretty dancing around on the outside.

Same reason some people were duped into thinking O'Malley is sensational or phenomenal etc instead of just very good.

An irrelevant one to who each guy is NOW. Yet you focus on it because you're a disingenuous hack.

I wonder if you realize how easy you make it to clown you?
Life's too short to waste it reading nonsense from weak ass trolls. Sending him to the timeout bin with the other immature teenagers

Totally. We all know he could've just scheduled his own fight if he wanted.

Any other brilliant questions?
ComfortablyDumb is already in said time out bin, for same reason likely

It's literally a rogues gallery of Jones reprobates these days

"Herp, deep, Jon shouldn't defend his belt"

Go away retards

He would be the strong favourite to beat Gane at this point. Equal athleticism, much more power, better grappling and has beaten better opponents in addition to also handling the two opponents they have in common much more easily and quickly than Gane did.

Gane is the more technical striker but his lack of power nullifies it to some degree. Tom has genuine one shot KO power standing and also brings a serious grappling threat to keep people guessing on the feet, so it wouldn't be surprising if he got the better of Gane standing too.

I think a locked in Gane that doesn't have his mind on filming paw patrol and playing Fifa gives Tom quite the fight on the feet. He would give Tom a lot to think about as he has a lot of strike variety and knows how to mix up his weapons very well. He also has good footwork and is quite elusive. I don't think it would be as easy for Tom to blitz in on Gane as it was when it came to everyone else he's fought. Unfortunately that's the only place where I could see Gane having a legitimate chance at beating Tom. On the ground Gane is an idiot and he most definitely is getting subbed if the fight goes to the ground after trying to go for one of his famous heel hook attempts.
I think Gane does not care much about his mma career anymore. He will have few more fights, he will be well compensated for those and he will end up in the sunset soon. Win or lose i dont think he really cares. If he would have cared, if he really wanted to become ufc undisputed champ, he would have spent the last 2 years to train like crazy, believe me its not the case at all

aspinal fans will claim tom is a world class striker and a former champ

both have 3 submission wins
gane took nganou down with ease as well

we literaly havent seen toms world class wrestling as well

Lets just cut the bullshit here and have you outright say the retarded thing you're implying.

Do you think Ciryl Gane would beat Tom in grappling? yes or no?

Just because Gane could easily out strike Ngannou on the feet doesn't make him a better striker than Aspinall. Ngannou is a power punching counterstriker with extremely limited other striking capabilities; he doesn't have the speed or tactics to set up his own offense against a decent opponent, just the ability to seriously take advantage of his opponents' defensive lapses.

Aspinall, on the other hand, will plow right through someone trying to point fight on the feet. Aspinall is aggressive controlled chaos standing with excellent striking defense (65% significant strike defense in the UFC, which would place him second all time in the HW division if his fights lasted long enough for his opponents to attempt enough strikes for his rate stats to qualify) and a very solid chin. He wrecks Gane on the feet 9/10.

Gane ducked Almeida and Blaydes for a reason. This is a fight he wants no part of, he doesn't compete on the ground or the feet.
This is probably the easiest fight for Tom in the top 10. At least the other guys have a bit of power, and Almeida can grapple.

Alot of people understimating Gane.

If this bout is fought standing up, I actually think Gane could get the win.

Obviously I hope not for the sake of the Heavyweight division. Nobody wants to see Jon Jones vindicated.
