Have no fear Jared Kushner is on the Corona Virus case. He is probably working on how to make more money for himself.
This administration has been an absolute shit show. That is why we have a bear market, people that make money with their money see the train wreck when Trump has to deal with a crisis.
We did not have a Bear Market when Obama dealt with Ebola or Swine flu because he did not come off as a bumbling idiot when trying to handle the problem.

Apparently "taking immediate and decisive action" is being a bumbling idiot.

Is he being blamed for Coronavirus, or is he being criticized for his lack of leadership and poor response to Coronavirus? The first is nonsense; the latter is understandable.

See, but the latter doesn't seem to contain exactly what Trump was supposed to do differently. Just criticism.

I sited exactly one previous pandemic

it just happens that one pandemic was based on fake fatality rates

H1N1, Ebola, West Nile, Zika, SARS... Why nothing resembling the current reaction to COVID-19 with any of these prior epidemics if the panic is just a product of Big Pharma wanting to make a buck?

What country had a "great" response to it exactly?

No. Our travel ban was first. Other countries got it faster, and so far worse. You trying to tie this to Trump is a disease of your mind. You think Italians are blaming this on one person? Really ANYBODY? Start using your own brain again.

The travel ban was just put in place this week the outbreak started months ago.

Profits will hospitals will probably actually decline. Hospitals operate a near capacity 24/7, so to make room for coronavirus victims, they are having to cancel tons of other procedures (many elective) that probably have far higher profit margins. Plus, with the government footing so much of the bill, they will be forced to offer things at or below cost. The S&P Healthcare index is plummeting over the last month.

Germany Coronavirus 3,064 Currently Infected Patients 3,055 (100%) in Mild Condition 9 (0%) Serious or Critical

please give me a reason why this should be considered a pandemic. this thing has NOTHING on the flu, absolutely NOTHING.

Yeah, so I’m going to weight the opinions of the WHO to a larger extent than some random person on a message board. I’m kinda strange that way.

The travel ban with China is what he is talking about. Whitehouse shut down flights to China a day when WHO recommended NO travel restrictions. The media skewered the ban as racist.

The Trump administration’s quarantine and travel ban in response to the Wuhan coronavirus could undercut international efforts to fight the outbreak by antagonizing Chinese leaders, as well as stigmatizing people of Asian descent, according to a growing chorus of public health experts and lawmakers.

South Korea and Japan really been making the rest of the world look bad.

Japan, one of the closest geographic countries to China, didn't even bother to suspend travel to China until the 12th of February, South Korea another 11 days after that. Trump suspended travel to China on February 2nd, and we're on the other side of the world. Japan and Korea are a major part of the reason it spread so quickly to the US.

Yeah.. and the outbreak started over a month before that.

Yes, and the Chinese Government spent most of that month lying about what was going on. Congratulations, you've once again made my argument for me.

Italy has an abnormally large death toll among people 80-89 years old....... not sure how that applies to america. Even then, 90% of cases coming into italy are mild, so picking and choosing is par the course.

there is 1,153 people in italy, in serious condition...... how pathetic is italy if they cant handle that volume?
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/italy/

all it shows is health care in italy is pathetic

I don’t think you understand The implications of picking and choosing here. They are taking all ICU cases, and due to a lack of available beds and equipment (there is not a proportionally higher amount of either of those things in the US either), deciding which Patients get potentially live saving treatment. This isn’t just COVID patients, it’s cancer patients, people with heart conditions, complications from pregnancy, all other infections diseases including flu. A guy with awaiting a lung transplant now has to vie for access to one of two available ECMO rigs at the hospital with 10 COVID patients, and while he might only be on it for a few hours, they could stay on for days or weeks, and none can live without the machine.

Italy had an influx of over a thousand patients to their ICUs, primarily in one region, and those patients aren’t leaving the hospital yet, as more patients are coming in. You could drop that problem on a similarly sized metropolitan area in the United States and expect a different outcome.

Yeah.. and the outbreak started over a month before that.

The WHO health organization was recommending no travel restriction with China during that time. We closed travel with China when the WHO was still telling us not to.

No, I was referring to their ability to test and contain it, not stop the spread. It's already spread everywhere at this point, (and that point), travel bans aren't some ironclad solution.

South Korea is still testing more per day than we have in total, that's what I'm referring to.

And now Trump is lying about what is going on.

And Trump proposed a budget that cut the CDC budget even after the travel ban with China.
