He wants to fight on the Brazil card, that was made clear. Do you really think he should take a huge step back and get an easier fight when guys like Beneil and Fiziev struggle to even get fights...Charles said he wants to get right back in there and fight a top guy so he can be back in the title picture as soon as possible. Charles can't fight the old Americans, he already beat them all up. So unless he fights fellow countryman RDA, it just has to be Fiziev or Beneil.

Also all this concern now about Charles chin is hilarious, he's been a house of cards since day 1 and I've been saying it for years, the harder fights were always Beneil, Islam, Fiziev, Damir, Arman etc and not Gaethje, Chandler and Poirier. The fact that he made it this far is kinda a miracle, it reminds me of the Robbie Lawler resurgence. Outside of Gamrot anyone in the top 10 he fights, besides Gaethje/Poirier and Chandler most likely whoop him and that's always been the case.

Id rather Fiziev vs Charles than pitting Fiziev vs Beneil against each other. I think the best possible next fight for Charles would have been Gamrot though. The divisions gotta move on, it's okay for Charles to go down with his ship, at least it allows Fiziev to set sail. Charles approach to fighting is so flawed and his chin is glass, there no escaping it. He's been floored at least 5 times in his last 4 fights.

Poor Fiziev, almost got the Gaethje and Oliveira fight only for them to fall through the cracks. I wasn't aware of this post, I assumed Charles still maintained the stance he had post Islam fight, if he feels he needs to take a break and doesn't plan being on the Brazil card then I think nothing of this, no harm in him taking a 6 month break to recover his mind, heart and body. A little disappointed, this was the fight I wanted to see get made for the Brazil card, it made the most sense.
