Law Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff

They had to literally change the requirements because he doesn't meets them, but thanks for proving my point, qualifications only matter when its a minority or a woman, when its a white dude, its never going to be called DEI.
& it’s shit like this which is exactly why DEI & DEI-adjacent initiatives & guidelines became a thing in the first place

You can't get rid of "ACTUAL DEI" because it will always exist in the mind of a lot of people.
yeah but it can be easily debated against in a merit-based hiring environment.
while with DEI active, you simply cannot do that.

I love it because the guy he is nominating is Dan “Raizen” Caine.

Months, even year or two prior to the 2024 election, Trump would mention him at his rallies, and my buddy love raising canes chicken. So I sent him a couple clips of Trump talking about the general when the chicken place opened up near by.

so funny to see it come full circle meow

Trump broke the law nominating Caine but for Trump supporters laws don’t matter.
Here is some homework for you since your confirmation bias media won’t tell you how or even bring up the fact that Trump broke the law. Your Twitter follows won’t tell you either. Do some research and you can figure out how Trump broke the law, but honestly you only care when somebody not on your team breaks the law.

We really just need to be hiring the best people for the job. It shouldn't matter what the demographics wind up being. Unfortunately, I don't trust either the democrats or the republicans to hire based solely on merit and competency.

Didn't you hear? when AA was outlawed people were still calling minorities as "AA quotas"

DEI will still exist even when it doesn't exists.
Not formally, which is the entire point. formally it has to disappear into the bin of history as a terrible idea.
and AA didn't do people any good either.
a solid society isn't built around the assumption of incompetence.

Bingo. To conservatives, DEI doesn't mean Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. It means "hiring people who don't look like me". Trump can appoint whatever dribbling, evil retard he can scrape from the bottom of the barrel and they'll applaud as long as that person is a straight white dude.

Like all conservative hangups, it revolves entirely around their fragile egos.
No, its about hiring the most qualified people. Maybe you wanna go out and fight the enemy with a chick having your back? Maybe you can get "Rachel" Levine, or Sam Brinton to help you.

LOL this is literallly 1984 shit; the Minstry of Love = the Miinistry of Hate (or however it went)

Now we get Department of Defense = Department of Offense

WTF

DEI has always been just a dog whistle, the people who complain the most about DEI have never cared about meritocracy, they just hate to see some kind people rise above them.
This whole "it's all because of racism" shtick is lazy and played out. DEI is racism and is dangerous in certain areas where applied. You can't say people who complain about DEI never cared about meritocracy, because that's exactly what they are defending because of DEI.

I can safely say that people who complained about DEI but cheer on nepotism and yes-men getting picked definitively never cared about meritocracy.

CQ Brown's appointment itself was 100% merit based. In fact, it was Trump himself who nominated him to USAF Chief of Staff in 2020 prior to becoming Chairman of Joint Chiefs. A couple of years later, he started pushing for racial quotas (cited in OP) and that's why he's been excused.

I'm not talking about his ascension. I'm talking about the DEI policies he signed for and promoted. He fucked up.
