California to open illegal alien-only DMV facility

http://www.examiner.com/article/california-to-open-illegal-alien-only-dmv-facility

What do you guys think about this? I'm on the fence on this issue. It sucks that it costs so much money, but they're already here. What else can you do? Deportation is impossible and maybe them not having driver's licenses cost more than what it's going to cost to build this place?

Why is deportation impossible?

about 30% of the Federal prison population is illegal. 2million federal equals 600,000 plus add who knows how many more at a state/local level. Say 1 million total.

at a cost of $50,000 to keep an inmate in jail, that is 50 billion dollars.

A one way plane ticket cost $500, drop those turds off at where ever they came from and use the rest of the money to round up other illegals.

50 billion is a nice start to start rounding folks up.

Also Fine any company that hires an illegal 25 million dollars per person. Offer a $10,000 reward for any person in a company who turns in an illegal.

Our state of corrupt officials is good at wasting money as usual. Completely useless. :icon_chee

Lol at Governor Brown using the phrase "without their documents."

"When a million people without their documents drive legally with respect to the state of California"

Implying that the issue is just 'their documents,' which they seem to have temporarily misplaced. Like shoplifting, where your purchase is 'undocumented' in the sense that you don't have a 'receipt' because you 'stole it' in violation of 'law.'

One of the dumbest political euphemisms of our time, 'undocumented.'

Lol at the Pipple's Republik of Kalifornia.

I don't understand how you document illegals?

I was hoping you guys would explain, but it seems you are all as stunned as I am.

I literally don't understand the concept they are presenting at all...

Oh well, it their land anyway, right? We stole it from them long ago, right?

I recall something about illegal children going to school and being registered for that.

Do anyone know how that works?

Man, this is such an awesome idea! It's great that we're reaching out to our unofficial neighbors and affording them the full breadth of the American dream. Viva la raza!

Said no fucking body ever.

Can this please be a hidden deportation sting? Please?

The sad thing is deportations would hardly be necessary if we did one simple thing, quit enabling them. If the government actually did it's job and took the steps necessary to prevent them from getting jobs, finding housing and sending their children to school, the vast majority of them would willfully leave. They come here for jobs and a better life, not to be homeless. They are continuing to come here because the system is literally set up to support them at every level. This story is just another example. Politicians just like to pretend that getting rid of these people is not feasible because they do not want to get rid of them.

so, if you dont have your documents, can an 18 year old just say he is 21 so he can drink? and anything we can do to make it easier on them i am all for. i mean why make anything at all tough for those who choose to ignore our laws. lets save the tough stuff for those going through proper channels

There is nothing in California law which says you must be an American citizen to get a drivers license.

If you're suggesting that 30% of the federal prison population are unauthorized immigrants, that is very far from true. It's less than half of that, and most of those are held for being here illegally (as opposed to committing any real crimes). And that's still misleading because there's a bias toward federal prisons for that. In state prisons, it's less than 1 in 20.

As for the OP, I'd like to see the story from a credible source before making a judgment.

Think about how the laws work. If the police want to charge a person with drinking under age they have the burden of proof, which means they have to proof the person is under age.
