Even Target of all places sees the writing on the wall. Pretty hilarious the place that spearheaded creepy men in the Women's room and Pride stuff for kids has done a 180. Basically alienated everyone. Hilarious seeing the meltdowns over on social media as Target was the one of the few remaining good stores they had left.

I think this one is toothless without action from Congress. The Equal Employment Opportunity Act was passed by Congress. Trump can't rescind or terminate it through executive order. So as long as some organization is willing to take up the fight, this will likely get struck down with nothing more.

He can if he just disregards the law like he has already done many times.

Edit: I'm not sure I get your intent here. Do you think this change is a good thing or a bad thing? I see you're saying in their current state trans TSA employees are effectively useless so do you mean the rules are stupid or should they dispose of trans employees?

Intent was just what has been decided with trans employees. Not sure what I fully think. I know there has been passengers being uncomfortable . Being a female and then being patted down by someone you view as a male, but can't really protest. can't feel good. I know some females are all for trans and it probably doesn't bother them.

The trans female isn't fully useless. There are basically 6 different functions. She can now do only 4 of them. so not fully useless. For me personally it doesn't effect me negatively. actually helps me. as I don't like x-ray. and now if I'm on the lane with this trans she will have more X-ray so less X-ray for me.

I don't think she should be fired. I can see other female employees over time growing to resent her since she doesn't have to do patdowns anymore and that is the least liked part of the job. I think leads who make the rotations will not want her in their lane. There are not many female officers so they are very valuable. Having a female on the lane who can't do patdowns puts more pressure on the remaining females.

update to this:

TSA. Females patdown females. Males patdown males. I'm not even allowed to patdown a women's ankle or touch her other than test her hands for bomb residue, which isnt considered a patdown.

So with this trans female. Word has come down. To clarify this is a born male. Who acts female. Trans female. Up til now she had patted down females. This just changed. She can still act like a female, but she is no longer allowed to perform the jobs which have patdowns involved. When you walk thru the metal detector or the body scanner there is an officer fixed there. potential for a patdown. She can't do that job at all anymore. And if a female opts out of the body scanner or has medical reasons she can't do the scanner and needs a patdown, trans female is not allowed to do it. And she can't patdown males either.

Sounds like he should be fired.

You treat her correctly.

But also female rights should always have been more important than the trans wanting to be female and pat down women. Women never should have been put in that position. Some won’t care, but some will and would have felt to uncomfortable to say it. That’s not right.

In my brothers barbers there is a trans who was born as a woman who is becoming a guy. We all treat them and address them as a guy. No problem.

But the pat down thing with women wasn’t really cool.
