Bo is gonna be an amazing grappler eventually, but paul Craig is still levels above him on the ground

Is he gonna be that hesitant going to the ground with anyone else in the division though? Probably not

It's just one of those fights where he was forced to show off his still rudimentary striking but he's still super green. Potential is there but only so much we can expect at this point.

True but we've seen some wrestlers just become really good strikers in short time. Especially the ones that eventually became great strikers. I would say Bo struggling on the feet shows even in the long term he's not going to be a high level striker. Supposedly he has this radical new style camp, so maybe I'm wrong and he's working on skills slowly compared to previous wrestlers. But there are countless guys who've been wrestler boxers and their power is enough to keep things even on the feet.

I agree with RDR that he should be fighting up the rankings, not down the rankings vs Bo Nickal

But I'm sorry it's just completely DELUSIONAL of RDR to think he deserves a top 5 opponent. He needs to break into the top 10 first.

I was actually pretty wrong in other posts, I thought Bo was going to prove he had a bad night last time with Craig. Still, I knew he looked like garbage standing beforehand. Still think his skillset should of been an easy road to the top 5, but he's managed to look horrible not knowing what to do unless his opponent has zero bjj or zero standup. I even bet v cash on Bo lol whoops.

Yeah, it was a tiny bit weird for streaking former ONE double champ RDR to fight backwards after getting ranked, but top 5 was too much of an ask then. Not too fussed about that ask now though

Fuck me.... they way he went out was even worse than I imagined. NOBODY gets KO'd by RDR. Devastating L. His manager needs a kick in the nuts for taking this fight.

Honestly, i had hopes for Nickal, it seemed he was doing it the right way got with a great gym hearing stories from people from that gym that Nickal is improving. He’s almost 30 and at this rate it takes years for him to improve given he still doesnt seem comfortable fighting, plus it does not help that he seems to be another stubborn american wrestler who doesn’t add submissions or ground and pound plus with the reality check that his wrestling may not be the end all be all when it comes to winning. He either uses this loss and a motivation to improve but given how high his ego and this reality check he might not have it.
