bjj competition records

This is fun, some of you guys have competed A LOT. I am 4-4, all no gi. I lost my first match by straight ankle lock after 3 months of training, in the same tournament I won a second match by guillotine and lost the third by arm triangle. My fourth match in a different tournament I won by triangle but severely injured my neck. In the next I lost by neck crank. I didn't compete again for almost 2 years. In the last tournament I lost by RNC to the guy who won 1st and won my other two matches by guillotine and N/S choke.

I'm also 0-1 in amateur mma where I showed horrible ground skill.

LOVE your avatar. Can't wait til season 2 starts.

I'm amazed by the number > 1:1 ratios here...

I should start keeping better track of mine. Off the top of my head, as white belt I believe I was around 5-6 gi, and 2-3 beginner no-gi. Went to three comps in my first six months and got my ass kicked.

As blue, 2-2-1 gi (one win by cross-choke, one win by points, one loss in OT by 2 points, one loss no points by an advantage, one draw with teammate).

2-2 intermediate (one win by triangle, one win by armbar, one loss by RNC, one loss 0-3 points)

Record is in my sig... 4-1 so far as a purple belt

Mine still in my sig - getting close to the big 250, though. Nifty!

Take care,

Oli

I don't really keep track - but I don't compete much so it's easy to work out:

12-5

I wish I could compete more, but circumstances as they are, I do one or two local tournaments a year and that's it.

Waiting for Kenny from MD to dis-approve of this thread.

gi- 3 w's 2 by sub 1 by points
4 L's 2 by sub 2 by points

no-gi- 7 W's 5 by sub 2 by points
1 L on points

Nobody cares about your record.

You get tapped 10,000 times en route to your black belt. Who cares if a few of them were during a tournament?

300+ matches is awesome, how many competitions do you do a year? Im hoping to do 8 this year, and I thought that was alot, but I have a feeling your prolly going to triple that nuber.lol

Something like, 20-10 in the GI, and 14-4 in NOGI.

Ive been tapped 4 times in the GI, and once in NOGI.

2 of those times in the GI, were this weekend. *sigh*

13-5 total
10-5 as a white belt
3-0 as a blue
11 submission wins

i lost count.

i think its kinda borderline douchey to keep track of your competition record. no one can verify.

hmmm... flashback to when i wrestled in high school, the newspapers kept track of everyones record and i thought that was super cool.

See sig. Will be competing 4 times over the next 6 weeks, so I hope the numbers improve - I would really like to make it over 75%!

in Judo i'm something like 50-10, and BJJ i'm something like 14-20. i never competed as a white belt, went straight to blue, and that's including always doing the absolute and some submission only events

I hope some for you guys get burnt for your witch craft

lol, never underestimate the power of 'ttt'

anyway... just did my 3rd tournament yesterday (lutador), so now I am 5-2 in Gi, 2-2 in No Gi. I have three sub wins (2 collar chokes and an armbar) and have been fortunate to have only lost on points so far. had my final match lasted a min. longer yesterday, i probably would've had to tap though.
