bjj competition records

272 W (176 SUBs) - 138 L (29 SUBs) - 2 D

And just for a fun fact, picking apart those sub losses:

Rafael Mendes
Pablo Popovitch
DJ Jackson
Zak Maxwell
Lucas Lepri
Caio Terra
Otavio Sousa
Michael Langhi
Celso Vinicius
Bernardo Faria
Jordon Schultz
Bruno Alves
Roberto "Tussa" Alencar

And other less well-known people. ^_^

You must really suck if you lost to those guys...

For realz, that is some competition...

I had Franghina (from Paragon) in my division along with Euardo Rocha last week at the OG Worlds. I won one match and lost 2 against Rocha. ( 1 in heavy weight and one in absolute) . That's good enough for bronze in the geriatric division.

Here are a couple of boring Old Man matches.

I think my comp record is like 20 W and 10 L.

I'm a stat nerd of sorts.

Broken down my stats are:

White Belt BJJ- 7 Wins 2 Losses, 4 Wins by sub

Blue Belt BJJ- 12 Wins 3 Losses, 6 Wins by sub, 3 losses by sub

Purple Belt BJJ- 20 Wins, 11 Losses, 9 Wins by sub, 3 losses by sub

Brown Belt BJJ- 2 Wins and 2 Losses ( No wins at Ultra yet. :( )

In mixed Belt fights I have 1 Win and 2 Losses.
( Beat a brown when I was purple. Lost to a brown when I was blue. Lost to a black when I was a purple )

Submission Wrestling- 5 Wins, 7 Losses, 2 sub wins, 5 sub losses. 3 of those wins were vs pretty new guys.

My record is horrible, pretty overweight(and working on it) so all the people i have competed against are immensely stronger then me. I've shown a lot of progress with each tournament which is good though!

I'm 5-8 all in the gi. I lost my first 3 matches, so I'm working my way back to .500.
One thing I am proud of is that 4 of my 5 wins are by submission.
I'm hoping to keep competing more and more, as I do find myself improving by leaps and bounds with each comp.
