you’re a fraud
Atherton didn’t place that year, only got 9 pts...apparently one Wrestlers 3-2 record at the state tournament broke all school history records and you are on here acting like it was successful...this took less than 20 min to find...why you think you can just lie about public records shows your delusionsYou dont know dick...
I was the head coach for Atherton high school during the 2002 season in which we broke all the records in school history
Per the link I posted
# dont know dick
Now say something about wrestling and quit asking me questions about my personal coaching background

oh no you aroused the wrestling autists and now you have to explain your record
Is there a time frame for when the best wrestlers (in the world) are gonna get beat? We could then revisit this to see if the predictions come to fruition.
They were exposed to it though!
People that spend their entire lives perfecting any individual art (wrestling, boxing, judo, whatever) don't really participate in mixed martial arts, do they? Because then they would not be spending their entire life perfecting one art.
But people that spend the vast abundance of their time becoming highly proficient at one art, then transition to MMA, are generally going to be better at MMA than someone who trains all aspects of MMA from jump. As proof I offer almost every single MMA champion-ever.
If what you are suggesting is true, the Sage Northcutts of the world would be champion instead of Jones, Cejudo, Usman and Khabib.
And even the champions that do not have wrestling backgrounds (like Max and Izzy) became highly proficient in one art before transitioning.
I lurked on the forum for a good 3 years before I joined in 2007. And even back then there was talk of the 'new breed' that was going to take over the sport. 15 + years later, I still can not point to a single UFC champion that just immediately started training all disciplines at once.
It's never going to happen. Not ever. And the reason for this is as simple as it is profound. It takes a great deal of time, effort and energy to become highly skilled in any individual art. And the fighter that has a solid base in one specific art (wrestling has obviously been the most effective one up to this point) not only will have an advantage in that specific art, but the skill differential in that one art, whatever it is, will force their opponents to change the way they fight that person.
Maybe in some dystopian future, where children do not have to learn read or write, go to school, play, or have any other sort of engagement, and can just spend 14 hours a day training MMA, you might be able to find some proof to your assertion.
That's a fucking fail.
How long did he wrestle, who was his coach, and what was his competition record? Remember, no one is an elite wrestler unless they've won world's or Olympics, as you said here:
Also, before you go and say Mirko used freestyle takedowns, you better go look at his stats. This is akin to you calling Israel Adesanya a freestyle wrestler, as you did here:
Israel has zero takedowns in the UFC.
Khabib's extended ground dominance of multiple opponents pretty much proves how little freestyle wrestling he uses. Remember, freestyle is about the takedown and groundwork is very limited.
Zabit wrestled for two years before he started sanda and Kung Fu, dude. Do you watch him fight? He uses a ton of sanda sweeps to get takedowns.
So you can't name any MMA based fighters to prove MMA is the best base, and you can't name any good strikers with freestyle takedowns and wrestling.
Your arguments are shit, mate. You ramble, copy and paste the same shit posts, you use your own shit threads as 'proof', you commit straw man fallacies and move the goalposts constantly during discussion, and when you get called in your bullshit, you either claim to be trolling/trick question, or you ignore it outright.
You are to mma what Mike Goldberg is to MMA analysis. You've both been doing it a long time, and yet both still have no fucking idea what you're talking about.
Right, so this storied coaching career you have talked about in multiple threads doesn’t existyou are deeply confused about what i was saying, I took a team that usually finished in last place to 9 points in the state tournament and to the middle of the pack in a highly competitive district...i never claimed i won the "championship" or placed in the top 5 with a last place team
# moron
you dont know dick
9 points its the school record in the state tournament
that was established in 2002
by me as the head coach
go back and read the post a few times
# dont know dick
Right, so this storied coaching career you have talked about in multiple threads doesn’t exist
You get shut down in every post, and then got suddenly quiet when I found the record, now you’re backtracking you’re claims
you’re just an old dude with an unfounded opinion and grabbed a couple outlying data points to preach as fact
I have you pegged. You don’t even know the names of wrestling takedowns or which are legal/illegal in different styles ...all you know is “international wrestling slam” lol
Lol breaking a record at a school that has no records just because you were licky enough to have 1 wrestler go 3-2 at state in a non competitive wrestling state# dont know dick about wrestling
# calls me a liar because too stupid to comprehend my thread
# interrogates then accuses of bragging
you are a anonymous shedog troll
parasitizing my thread
I am a record breaking wrestling coach who founded one of the first MMA gyms in the nation and am warning about the changes coming our way in MMA
one dimensional wrestlers will no longer be able to "hold guys down" and win decisions or earn crap stoppages
AND
the superior techniques of FREESTYLE will displace American folkstyle because it has more takedowns slams and throws and comes from regions that have greater PUBLIC sports programs
[like the soviet bloc]
Lol breaking a record at a school that has no records just because you were licky enough to have 1 wrestler go 3-2 at state in a non competitive wrestling state
I’m telling you, you need to stop bragging about that and your no holds barred tough man gym that hasn’t produced any fighters
WhoooosssshhhI took a program that usually finished last or near last and took it to the middle of the pack in districts and broke all the records in school history at state [with 9 points] in only a few years as head coach
[Atherton wrestling has decades of records]
# interrogates then accuses of bragging
Whoooosssshhh
your whole premise doesn’t bode well for KY education system
No coaching, just a wrestler who competed on folkstyle high school and freestyle high school And some college (easier and more fun than folkstyle by the way) and in the folkstyle world I’ve seen my share of bullshit assistant coaches who don’t know what they’re talking about but like to talk like they do, so it’s easy to spot your kindso dick...i guess turnabout is fair play
how many years of professional coaching experience do you have dick?
cause you never really talk about wrestling or MMA or wrestlers in MMA dick...just me, its all about me dick
certainly seems like you dont know dick about wrestling or MMA dick
# dont know dick
YEAH
26-Oct-2019
another nail in the folkstyle wrestling specialist coffin
# crushed
