First of all it never seemed like this guy wanted to fight he needs 2 more fights before a title shot. The winner of paddy and justin should get the next TS.

I mean if Paddy can beat Justin sure. But if Justin beats Paddy? Does anyone really think Justin is on Islam's level. Meanwhile, Islam wins the WW title vs Boxcar Jack, and is set to defend his WW title against Shavkat, but Shavkat withdraws due to another mysterious injury. UFC, desperately scrambling for a short notice replacement, offers the fight to Arman. Arman accepts, then proceeds to KO Islam sending him out of the octagon with shit in his pants.

Why should he have to rematch the lower ranked guy who lost his last fight, instead of facing the easier matchup who is ranked higher?

UFCs matchmaking rarely make sense, though.

How is taking a fight twice in 7 weeks Notice NOT short notice. The only reason why this fight has not happened is because of Islam actually, could have happened at 302 but nope, Islam waits for LW division to be booked before cherry picking porier. When Arman lost to Gamrot, he had to fight down in the rankings twice. But Gamrot should be rewarded for losing to Hooker in a similar controversial decision?

Not if you're aiming for someone higher up in the rankings who are more deserving of a number one contenders fight.
Or, you're calling for the guy who just beat him.

It's a strange kind of punishment from the UFC to try to handpick an opponent lower down in the rankings purely because they would like him to lose to a stylistically tougher matchup, instead of getting a high profile win against a stylistically easier matchup.

I would think it was strange and weak from Arman if Gamrot was riding a long winstreak and was the most deserving of the fight, though. However, he's absolutely not.
