Of course Democrats and immigration activists aren't going to be satisfied with Trump and the GOP using as leverage a policy that 86% of Americans, and half of Republican voters, already support.

Just on republican governing bases, DACA naturalization should already be foregone. What that "fake and empty group" (don't choke on that irony btw) wants is actual compromise that deals with the other 11,000,000 undocumented immigrants, or at least some considerably portion thereof, so we can move past this fucking issue and get back to actually governing the country.

Also, once immigration is no longer the centerpiece of American discourse, maybe you Trump-supporting imbeciles will be forced to recognize the grave and lasting damage Trump is doing to the country's regulatory systems, wealth distribution, environment, and long-term economic stability.

Getting his "wall" is well worth passing legislation granting citizenship to residents who 86% of Americans want to receive citizenship. And it would provide inroads with Hispanic voters. This deal would be a slam dunk for him electorally, even if his far-right supporters whimper and moan on their way back to the ballot to reelect him.

Nope. He is attempting to trade the amnesty of "dreamers" without (otherwise) criminal records for securing the border by means that include (but are not limited to) a barrier. It's called a compromise. Something Republicans are being forced into because there are so many screwed up people in this country that put lunatic Democrats in office.

Lol, but that is the key word game that is being played. A secure border doesn't mean fixing the illegal problem.

Even if it is just for the amnesty and citizenship of 2 million illegals, you are getting the illusion of action as a return payment. You are getting a talking point come to life in exchange for 10-16% of the total illegal population being given citizenship.

I don't disagree that trump made a deal. I just think it is insane to claim that it is a good deal for his base, who prize this issue, over all others.
