AMNESTY DON, and the beta cuck's who support him

This is why I want to watch trump roast over an open fire over this.

If this deal included E-verify with teeth, I would fully support it, as it would actually solve the problem, and we wouldn't still be talking about this 20 years from now.

The fact that he is selling amnesty for a wall that won't solve the problem, is absurd.

When I talk to people who support Trump, and ask why, all I hear about is illegals. The average Trump supporter believes we could balance the budget if we just got rid of illegals.

I have about 10 people at work, I am looking forward to talking to come Monday.

My guess, is that they are going to be questioning their assumptions. Trump is going to lose the benefit of doubt, that his base has been giving him.

If you are looking forward to pushing this crap on coworkers tomorrow. You need to reevaluate your life

Good to see the 2 Vivas on the same side

This is the stupidest thing to make a big deal out of. Of course he'd have to give some on this.

What he's doing in Syria is fucked up. Pure Bull Shit

But the wall solves nothing. He is selling not just legal worker status, but citizenship, for a wall that won't solve the problem. It is absurd.

I know you are a libertarian, and most likely believe that as long as their is a demand for drugs, a supply will be found.

Illegal immigration is the exact same thing. As long as their is a demand for illegal workers, illegals will find a way into this country. A wall will do nothing to solve that.

It is militarizing our border, to not solve the problem.

Unlike the war on drugs, you can actually cut off the demand for illegal workers with e-verify with teeth.

Why are you ignoring the other aspects of immigration reform proposed, as well as what can be implemented with the money besides the wall?

Furthermore, wouldn’t it be smarter to pass this, then do E verify? It’s going to be divisive enough just getting this much through.

I like to talk politics. I can only tolerate flippant conversation for so long.

As confused as you are that I can look forward to this, is equally as confusing to me, about how people talk about BS for hours.

In my world I'd let everyone in and there would be NO welfare. They would need to fend for themselves. That is obviously never gonna happen

A wall will actually work and is working where already up. Of course it will not stop it. But it will make it a lot harder. I know it's hip to say it won't work in here. But it will because walls work everywhere to some degree.

It really is stupid to argue over this because people don't even look at what will or won't work. They just look at it politically

Talking is overrated

Yes, it will work to deter border jumpers. That is half the problem.

What stops those same people from coming here on a travel visa?

What stops shipping containers?

What stops people from overstaying on temporary work visas?

It doesnt solve the problem. 10 foot walls makes for a great market for 11 foot ladders, is actually a horrible analogy, because in reality you don't need a 11 foot ladder, when you can legally fly in on an airplane, and overstay your visa.

You make them citizens, and then use their tax money to help pay for the wall. Trump clearly meant this when he said Mexico would pay for the wall, you just were not listening closely.<Y2JSmirk>

It's amazing to watch all the Trumpets change their tunes. A quick posting history search reveals them all to he full of shit.

No, because the truth is, we have a massive border security infastructure, just not enough to catch millions of people from crossing a 700 mile border.

If you take away the incentive to come here with E-verify, now you have 1,000's trying to cross a 700 mile border, instead of millions, our current levels of security become more than enough. One could even argue it is over kill, to stop 1000's of people.

Our border would be as secure as can be, if we stop the flood of people from coming across. You do that by removing the incentive to come here.

BTW, anyone find it funny that he flipped on this, right around his trip to Davos?

When keeping it oligarchy goes wrong.

Turns out, what is good for business, isn't what the Republican base actually wanted.

The elephant in the room, is that there is no talk of E-verify, because the bought and paid for GOP, and the bought and paid for Amnesty Don, are in the pocket of the Chamber of Commerce. Davos, and the Chamber of Commerce, both don't give a shit about this country.

Worship money as god, win worshipping money as god prizes.

My response is the same as it has been about this.

First secure the borders and do something to fix the over stay problem.

The talk about the ones here.

As far as the "dreamers" depending on the age they came over and their background we can talk about a path for them. I'm fine with a lot of them staying.

We will see what Trump actually does before I say one way or the other.

I hope it isn't another FUBAR like the one Reagan gave us.

Remember when the govt shutdown, the Trumplings were saying the libs put illegals ahead of citizens and how it was going to cost them voters. Now the trumplings are all in favor of DACA and its going to win trump voters

In reality, a lot of Trump voters supported DACA, and even during the campaign, Trump had expressed being open to allowing those that contributed to the country and/or born here to stay. So it is not the major issue his critics would like to make it out to be.
