I started watching regularly in 2013 and since then most of the fighters I was a fan of have either retired or are old as shit. Max is still going strong tho and only 32. But yeah in the first 2 or 3 years of watching I became fans of Machida, (was already a Silva fan), Condit, Barboza, Conor, Wonderboy, Max, Cerrone, Gunnar, Werdum etc.. Silva and Werdum have been gone for a while, Condit has been gone for a bit and hasn't been the same in years, Conor has been done for years, Wonderboy is 41, Gunnar wasted his prime not fighting for w.e reason, Cerrone is beyond done, Barboza is old.. Oliveira was a guy I liked watching as well and super glad he was able to live up to his potential recently, not sure how much longer he has at the top tho.

There are some new fighters I've become fans of but I don't get nervous watching them fight like the others. Pereira for example. If Chris Barnett could go on a run that'd be comparable lol

I'm a late millennial and I've been involved in this sport for over 20 years, since early Pride days and K1. Seen so much wild shit that I cannot be surprised by anything. Every fight I watch these days I'm fucking cynical over, because nothing impresses anymore. Apart from Max Holloway, I haven't grown a sympathy over any new fighters either. I still root for those older action fighters like Tim Means, Jim Miller, Matt Brown, Dustin Poirier who are soon to be gone. And when I discuss MMA with people around me who have also been watching for a long time, our conversations always circle back to the bygone eras—whether it's Pride, Zuffa UFC, or even the legendary NHB era.

I've been watching since 1993, this year is definitely the worst year in the UFC for me. I've never been less interested, the UFC has fallen off big time imo.

Been watching since UFC 1 where i watched it on a set top de-scrambler box. I find I am less pumped for PPV's and some of the Fight Nights are awful.

I think what bothers me (and it did with boxing) is the cherry picking and protection that the UFC gives fighters because they are marketable.

Either give your young guys a chance to develop or throw them to the wolves but be consistent.. Also guys should be fighting every 6 months or so or start to slip in rankings.

Same I've been watching since about 2006, I barely visit Sherdog anymore because UFC just been so uninteresting to me... I'd rather watch old fights. there's a severe lack of star power, and diversity in UFC these days. everyone trains Muay Thai and BJJ, and has the same style.. no real special talent in there these days.. I dunno.. definitely somethings lacking.
