The things that prevent him being the standalone goat wouldn't be fixed by beating Gane. He has several sketchy decisions, several fights with guys who really fit much better at MW, and obviously multiple failed steroid tests, including his best win being overturned for steroids. Might have been different if he had the same run in Pride, where steroids were allowed and it was a level playing field, but if 1 guy is juicing and his opponents aren't allowed to, that takes away from it imo.

They got him for cocaine the first time. The second time he was using anti-estrogen substances. So what? Plenty of supplements out there doing this and every single athlete is keeping their estrogen low before fights. Third time USADA said it was an accidental ingestion of a tiny amount of banned steroid. The fourth time they were detecting the same substance from 2 years prior, they admitted. As unpleasant as Jones' outside life is, they were spinning this guy's blood tests until they found something fishy in them.

The athletes and the owners both behave badly. YouTubers make more money than the fighters can possibly make. Blatant cheating takes away from a fighters accomplishments. Jon has been caught cheating multiple times, PED use, a clear strategy of eye poking, even hiding under the Octagon to avoid being tested. Most others have not. You shift the goalposts by saying they are all cheating taking steroids.

I do hold Anderson in the same regard as Jon. Both GOATs in their weight class and both cheaters. I value Stipe as a HW higher than Fedor. Mighty Mouse is a GOAT. I really just have GOATs in each weight class and Jon is the GOAT LHW but he did test positive and cheats. The GSP WADA vs VADA thing is BS and you clearly don't understand it.

Johnny agreed to VADA testing and then didn't. USADA didn't exist in the MMA world and commission testing was very basic. Simply put there was no random testing of any real value. Johnny claimed he wanted WADA testing not VADA. This is a smoke screen because WADA does not do testing. WADA sets standards for testing and accredits labs that test according to their protocols. VADA is an organization that does the testing AT WADA ACCREDITED LABS. There is no such thing as WADA testing. As for wanting to know what will be tested for that is an attempt to spin GSP's camp asking that as they want to use something. The reality is they had a very good idea of what Johnny was using and wanted to know if it gets tested for.

Imagine if you were aware that they basically never test for EPO but you were scheduled to fight TJ Dillashaw. Would you ask if they were going to test for EPO? If you don't your an idiot.

Looking at Hendricks post USADA career and seeing him fall off a cliff, move to MW and still miss weight and lose is a very clear indication he was using something to enhance his performance. GSP's post USADA career is him winning the MW title.

The thing about Hendo is that he never had a sustained run of dominance. He does had one of the best win lists and is one of the most decorated so perhaps you could put him on that tier.
