He's definitely on the Mount Rushmore of MMA, and can be in the argument for GOAT. Also, unlike the other GOAT candidates like Fedor and Anderson (and soon possibly Jon Jones), GSP retired on up on his own accord with his brain cells intact

Already 21 years ago...like it was yesterday, GSP made his debut for the TKO french canadian MMA organisation...



It cannot be more vintage that this, it make you realise how young when GSP started his career and entered the UFC, i think only robbie lawler was that young too.

Then GSP made his debut against the well hyped Karo Parisyan, Parisyan was supposed to be the favorite in to that fight...the ufc saw him in his soup...gsp breaked the hype.



The first title shot at WW for GSP, against a well rounded Matt Hugues.

He has more of an argument as the goat over Silva and Jones due to never needing roids, Fedor probably the only real contender next to GSP.

Unfortunately, as per the pinned comments, the largest proportion of Sherdoggers view him as GOAT above other suggested names. I personally count Fedor as such, with the assumption that his fights weren't fixed (as it has not been even close to proven that this was the case) being key to that belief.
