It’s the LHW championship on the belt. All the marbles are on this fight…money, future money, the belt, name value, status, legacy. Why do you need to bet to make it a bigger than what it is? I remember when Pereira made a grappling challenge to Anthony Smith for charity, then went radio silent as soon as Smith accepted.

Not entirely true. Pereira appearantly said he had two broken toes that he needed a month for to recover, but he would be ready afterwards and said it would have to be in the gym, not on an event.

A bit iffy but yeah that whole thing was silly anyway, Smith’s hating ass once again couldn’t stfu about himself and had to grab some clout.

If anything serious even dared to materialize, I’m sure the UFC was gonna be like “yeah Poatan that’s cool and all but how about we just get you a fight in 3 months” and Poatan would be like “ok”
