If you’re referring to the events from 1957 in Little Rock, that was a completely different situation.
Governor Orval Faubus defied a US Supreme Court ruling and Eisenhower was correct to respond by sending in the 101st Airborne.
Interestingly, Eisenhower was a Republican and Faubus was a Democrat. A lot can change over 70 years.
I’m not saying whether Trump is correct or not.
But that situation and this? Apples and bowling balls.
It is ti his post. He made no exception to situation.
They were sent on to enforce the laws.
Trump has the right to send them in to provide protection for federal agents and facilities.
He had a right to send them in in DC. As far as other cities to be used in police help I dont know for sure but i dont think he should unless they ask fo it.
