I follow this rule eat whenever hungry, train hard, this way my body adjusts itself, rather than worrying if I'm to small or weak for a weight class. Concentrate on how to get the best out of YOU.

Interesting. I was just reading a good interview with Matt "Kroc" Kroczaleski, who carefully counts his calories and macros. I guess that makes him a girl to you.

I've already adressed this I dont have a camera phone, but shrugs as much as I do and you'll have great traps no matter who you are, people dont need to be so hostile, if you wanna spend your day counting calories, good for you, its just not something I find helpful.
Every morning I wake up with visions in my mind of greater traps...now maybe that dream can come true...

I squat too there is a misconception that I purely shrug when in the gym, its not true.
I always put my compounds first without question, but a the end of any workout I finish off by shrugs the hell out of my traps it works great. Do you squats, but when you finish off have a heavy shrug session.

My routine is as follows...
Mon: Overhead shrugs-power shrugs-farmers walks
Tue: Ju Jitsu
Wed: cleans-db shrugs
Thu: Ju Jitsu
Fri:Overhead shrugs-power shrugs- farmers walks/ Ju Jitsu
Sat:Sleep
Sun:Sleep
Needs some adjusting but thats how its been for the last half year
Hi, for ju jistu our coach has us do regular neck work for reasons like helping prevent possible injurys, also regular shrug work for the traps which he says stabilizie the neck. I dont lift weights usually.
So my question is, if I am just doing shrugs and no other weights, will this cause some kind of shoulder problem? Or isit ok to do, thanks people.
I mean apart from shrugs, obviously in ju jitsi and judo there is alot of pulling and overall body movement, so its not like I am just shrugging and getting no other upper body work done, its just they are the only weight technique I use
That's likely due to posts like this:
I chose the Bill Starr program because it was designed with athletes in mind, I'm not ONLY interested in strength; I'm also a kickboxer and jiu-jitsu practitioner, and having monstrous legs/ass can be detrimental to my performance.
Could you guys recommend another program? Would WS4SB be a better fit potentially?
Has anyone else devolped a huge ass? Mine is so big its ridiculous I have to by 34inch jeans just to cater for it my waist is actually more like 30. People always comment on it especially in jeans.
