It's just a KO from the ground instead of standing. It's the same as what we saw happen in the main event, with a few missed shots thrown in. Both fighters took nearly the same amount of follow up shots, both went out.

I had no issues with both being stopped a touch earlier, but both fights were top 15 guys in the premier MMA org.

Nah just looks like Green took a really unnecessary amount of damage there. It's not just a mere "KO from the ground". He was mounted while being face-down, receiving hellish shots from above. Islam's TKO win over Green was stopped way earlier for way less amount of shots.

glad to see most of the people in agreeance, that was not a bad late stoppage. at any point, green could have tapped, his corner could have also thrown in the towel, seems like they werent that concerned. weird. i'd much rather see stoppages like this, where it is definitive, rather than some BS early stoppage where the guy is not even out, immediately stands up, etc. and for those complaining, you're literally watching the wrong sport. the name of the game is CTE. the shadow realm is a holy land. no one avoids it.

Well it is just a KO from the ground. It's no different to a fighter getting rocked on the feet and finished 5-10 punches later in a combo on the feet and going to sleep.

Yes Islam's TKO win was stopped earlier because it was a TKO. This was a KO. Bobby Green was put out. A TKO means the fighter is still conscious but unable to defend themselves.

Bobby initially recovered from being dropped and was trying to get back up. He immediately covered his head and was flash KO'd 3-5 shots later, he then recovered again before going fully out.

No issues with a stoppage after the initial flash, but if they stopped it on him being dropped it would be early.

It just looks worse than a standing KO because Bobby is on the ground under Jailin. There was less power in the shot that put him out than the initial knockdown that dropped him.

Guarantee you Bobby is ok with that stoppage. Gotta respect a guy who goes and chucks his arm around the guy that just finished him.

How much longer of a career does Bobby Green need? The guy has been around forever and was probably in his last ranked run in the UFC. I reckon he is ok with being given the benefit of the doubt and going out on his shield.

YES! It was a perfectly reasonable stoppage. He gave Bobby every opportunity and let him go out on his shield, and stopped it quickly thereafter. It wasn't one of those typical "just a little bit rocked" stoppages we get so often nowadays. Shit is insulting. I hate that soft ass garbage. This ref should receive overwhleming praise for his outstanding and excellent work. Bravo!

So many soft ass UFC fans in here towing the company line of "early stoppages are good."
