No, it wasn't.

He was flattened out and couldn't regain his hips because Turner was doing all the right things with his top pressure and position.

If Green wanted out he wouldn't have been blocking shots.

What would have been intelligent defense to you? Just get up? haha.
Agree.

I almost felt bad but for Bobby Green, but then I remembered that this is for entertainment purposes only so I cheered more!

The "Just Bleed god" was summoned several times this evening.

How is it a Fight Night Card ends up being better than PPV's ?

These fight night guys making 2k to show/win. Dana keeping these ninjas hungry for our entertainment.

:meow:{<Mcgoat}

I was ok. Not nearly as bad as the broadcast team made it out to be. The ref gave Bobby every opportunity he needed until he didn’t need it anymore

If the fighters cared about having a functioning brain later in life, then they wouldn't be doing this job. McDonald's probably pays better than what most fighters get anyway.
Change your name to shitdigger because your post is ass

It's the stoppage I've been asking for the whole time. I hate those lame TKOs where a fighter gets a little rocked and the ref stops in. Nope - a fight should only be stopped once a fighter is out cold or at the very least sprawled out on the ground with no movement for some time. We clearly got both, so excellent work, ref!

Definitely shouldn't have been stopped after the knockdown, definitely should have been stopped the second time he went out and was TKO'd , the third KO wasn't needed though.

5 shots earlier and it's a perfect stoppage.

The dude went out twice before it got stopped. Watch the slowed down replay.

No idea what people are sooking about. That was a perfect stoppage.

Like, fucking rewatch it lol.

He hits the deck and Turner starts unloading, but he's not landing any more than 2 at a time before Bobby blocks at least one. The shots that were landing were moving Bobby about, but none of them were sending him limp.

Then he lands one as Bobby was turning. The next one sent him limp, and then the ref was immediately moving in.

Can't hit the deck and block punches these days without people crying haha.

He got dropped and then was covering up, got TKO'd on the ground and then took about 3-4 extra shots that weren't needed as was flat out KO'd. Little late IMO, but not the worst we have seen.

Funny thing is Bisping talking about it like it's the worst stoppage ever, when if the same rules were applied he would have been KO'd by Silva. Limp and propped against the cage and unable to stand up should be a KO every day of the week.

It was late by a few shots but not the worst I’ve seen by any means. I was rewatching Aleks emelianenko vs Sergei kharitonov the other night, and I forgot how bad that was. Sergei ate probably 3 punches and 3 flush knees to the face while unconscious, the woke up after the stoppage to protest lol

I mean, there's the video.

He wasn't KOd until the very end. He ate one that sent him limp. He ate another and the ref was in there just as Turner landed a final shot. Would have been nice if the ref had gotten in there before that final shot, but Turner was hitting fast.

He was still defending himself on the ground up until those final 3 shots or the ref would have jumped in. Turner wasn't landing every shot. When you're moving around like Green was and managing to get your block back for every 2nd or 3rd shot, they're not going stop it for a TKO.

That wasn't a "lame TKO" for sure but that stoppage was as late as it gets. Not sure how you could love that, unless you're one sick, misanthropic mofo in which case you do you but stick to playing whatever video game allows you to vent your clearly-repressed vitriol for your fellow man.

If it was one of my fav fighters I would have been pissed but it's Bobby green soooo good stoppage ref!

I agree he wasn't fully out until the end. If they stopped it in the middle when he goes semi limp again it's a good TKO, instead we got an excellent KO finish. I fully support more finishes like this on the ground, the only thing I have an issue with is he was clearly done on the ground even if he wasn't out.

It's not a bad stoppage at all. The shots that got through were heavy.

It's just a KO from the ground instead of standing. It's the same as what we saw happen in the main event, with a few missed shots thrown in. Both fighters took nearly the same amount of follow up shots, both went out.

I had no issues with both being stopped a touch earlier, but both fights were top 15 guys in the premier MMA org.

Yeah because who cares if fighters can still have a functioning brain later in life
Ya then maybe they shouldn't be fighting?....... do they think this is a safe sport to compete in without knowing the risks? Maybe they should go play disc golf or flag football. You sensitive emo's are killing every sport with your hippy hair, tie dyed shirts, and Birkenstocks. It's mma for God sakes, chances are your going to get hurt.
Why are mma fans garbage humans?
Because like you, they watch fights to see brutal violence. Don't try to be "Holier-than-thou" when you tune in for the same reason everyone else does, which is to witness an ass whooping. Do people forget what the point of this sport is? Good God the fans of this "sport" amaze me sometimes.

Believe it or not, people can enjoy mma and violence without wanting to see someone who's barely conscious take another 20 shots from behind until he gets ko'ed completely after having taken possibly career altering damage. What a dumbfuck take lmao. Go watch worldstarhiphop if it's all about the violence and brutality for you.

glad to see most of the people in agreeance, that was not a bad late stoppage. at any point, green could have tapped, his corner could have also thrown in the towel, seems like they werent that concerned. weird. i'd much rather see stoppages like this, where it is definitive, rather than some BS early stoppage where the guy is not even out, immediately stands up, etc. and for those complaining, you're literally watching the wrong sport. the name of the game is CTE. the shadow realm is a holy land. no one avoids it.
