Total allocation is around 115 billion USD so far. If you (for some inexplicable reason) divide that by population you get around 300 USD-ish, since 2022. Maybe a teensy bit more if you count from 2014.

But that's allocation. I'm not an expert in these matters, but I would still assume that "allocated" is in no way whatsover the same as actually paid out. For all you know, what the war has actually cost the U.S could be a fraction of the 115 billion, and a lot of it is in the form of outdated military materiel that would only have been sent to the scrap heap otherwise, or at best donated as hand-me-downs to some other nation.

As for the funds actually paid out, a lot of that goes back into western economies in the form of arms deals et cetera.

In short, there is a reason you're not feeling any economic effects of this war in any way.

He's had talks with Zelensky without Putin involved too.

I get that this is unpopular and people like to pretend its not so, but Russia has the power and Ukraine is going to have to concede. You know it. They've seized territory. They have the stronger military. They have the support of China., as well as surrounding territories like Belarus. There's not much of a threat Ukraine can make, they don't have the power or the people. Its fun to go on social media and say you stand with Ukraine and express your distaste for Trump with other like minded folks, but it'll get real very fast when someone you know has to go there and fight and dies. When soldiers are being shipped to Ukraine by NATO, this war will stop being so glamorous with a quickness. Photo ops with Zelensky in his khakis and turtleneck will only garner so much support.

Military materiel is largely donated via Presidential Drawdown Authority, from Department of Defense stockpiles. So far, this appears to total around 31.7 billion dollars. A small exerpt from one of the links:

So much of the materiel is drawn from existing stocks via PDA, and the rest via USAI procurement or other methods. USAI also led by the Department of Defense. A lot of USAI aid is in the form of training, cyber defense, communication et cetera. In other words, know-how. The PDA part is mostly estimated value of the hardware lent to Ukraine (see excerpt below: )
