Trump campaigned on pardoning then and then pardoned all of them with no push back from the party. Whatever you feel about it's clear Trump thinks they did nothing wrong, he even called their prosecution a grave injustice in the executive order.
Trump doesn't think they do and he's the unquestioned leader of the party, someone that everyone from the highest elected lawmakers to the bottom of the base have decided over and over again to not hold accountable for anything. Now he's extended that shield to his most rabid followers, the Jan 6th rioters.
