Elections Would the left be more supportive of a JD Vance presidency?

I don't think so. They had videos of people writing protest signs with the name blank before he was announced as Trump's running mate.

Whoever the republican party picks, they'll automatically elevate that person to the most severe existential threat imaginable. Republicans do it too.

It's not the fact that he's a Republican that's the issue, it's that he's a MAGA populist so substantively he's not different from Trump he just has less charisma. Trading out Trump for JD is like swapping out Palpatine for Doku or Megatron for Starscream.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Trump impeached and imprisoned for the sake of the country but I have few illusions that JD will be an improvement outside the fact that he'd be less effective.

More like Palpatine for Darthmaul.

Though Darthmaul could not even fuck a half couch since Obi Wan cut him in half.

When it looked like RDS was going to be the nominee they started calling him Hitler too. In reality they will treat any opponent the same way.

There are so many palatable candidates on both sides. Yet they only put up the biggest pieces of shit lol. I was hoping for a good middle of the road conservative or liberal after Trump. We got Biden. I hoped for the sane thing after Biden. We got Trump again. Shit is so stupid that is genuinely funny.

Eventually the voting populous will learn. Not to support far ends of either party. Or just not support the major parties at all. Eventually...maybe...probably not.

this was due to them not being given due process to begin with
As my good bud @Islam Imamate stated, every single one of them were sent through the US justice system without any special treatment or deviation of process. Evidence was gathered, charges brought, and they literally had their day in court alongside lawyers provided by themselves or the US government.
Nope... they were not "led" by Trump
“"We fight like hell. And if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore,"

Trump is the leader of maga. He didn’t march at their helm physically but he is the leader of their movement.
He mentioned her name but I don't think he defended her at all

“There was no reason Ashli should've lost her life that day. We must all demand justice for Ashli and her family.”

"Who was the person who shot an innocent, wonderful, incredible woman?" Trump asked Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo on Sunday, before interrupting himself to offer an answer: "I will tell you, they know who shot Ashley Babbitt. They're protecting that person. I've heard also that it was the head of security for a certain high official — a Democrat."

In his post on Truth Social, Trump referred to Byrd, a Black 28-year veteran of the Capitol Police, as a "thug" and a "COWARD, who wanted to show how tough he was. ASHLI BABBITT WAS MURDERED!!!”

But the person that shot Ashli Babbitt, boom, right through the head, just boom, there was no reason for that

Biden was a middle of the road liberal, he was widely perceived as the most moderate candidate in the 2020 Democratic primary. Same thing in 2016, the moderate candidate beat the far left one in the Democrat primary.

People still equate the two parties despite the fact that Dems are constantly pivoting to the center while the GOP goes off the rails.

His campaign did release an ad with a Nazi symbol in it so he wasn't exactly doing himself any favors.

I wish jd Vance would take over.

I can't answer for the leftists of the forum but I feel like the answer is no. They aren't going to be happy with a republican in charge no matter who and jd would become the new hitler the second he took over the presidency.
A smarter more articulate more extreme version of Trump.............No Thanks.

Kasich or Rubio would be tolerable though if you were making a list

it is only going to get worse, not better. ANY candidate with an R next to their name will literally be hitler in their eyes. This didn't happen to trump because of who he is. it could have been romney, jeb bush, anyone. trump is just a little better suited to deal with it. but that is the playbook now. there is not a single candidate who will get it easier than trump no matter how good/decent they are.

No idea where you get the impression, he comes off like a social climbing parasite. He's basically become the caricature of what he criticized in his book Hillbilly Eulogy and he did it for power.

I think if we were in the early 2000s or before, Vance would be an old school, Chamber of Commerce-type conservative. Yale lawyer concerned with enriching the rich and keeping the ungrateful poors quiet.

He seems kinda sorta decent only when compared to the current crop of virulent bigots and morons of the current MAGA age. He's probably not a genuine fascist like Hawley or Cruz, and not a complete mouth breather like MTG or Tuberville so he seems like not too bad of a guy.

So acting MAGA in order to gain power isn't as bad as being a sincere MAGA.

I in no way view them the same. I just don't fuck with either of them. Republicans are completely off the rails. Dems are care more about seeming like they give a damn more than actually doing anything.

No and with a little luck he will get the white house for 8 years after Trump and we get to keep watching the meltdown.
