But just think that each of those people likely avg 100k/year salary and other expenses (gov car, spending account, etc), not to mention official benefits.

Just the salaries alone are likely at least 10 billion a year. The face the nation tweet I posted said there are 750k jobs that could be deemed non-essential.

This is literally in the CA Medicaid website, just like the NY. Currently all people, including undocumented illegals, qualify as long as they meet income requirements. It says that will stop new enrollments in 2026 due to federal government, but existing enrollments will continue.

The mental gymnastics is that they are using specific parts of Medicaid that are only state funded… but that diverts funds that would otherwise be used to citizens, thus straining the federal funds.

• • The public charge rule does not apply to Medi-Cal benefits, so receiving health insurance through Medi-Cal will not affect an immigrant's ability to obtain a green card.

When asked on CNBC if Democrats want to restore taxpayer benefits to illegal immigrants, Jeffries responded: “This is also an outright lie. “Federal law prohibits the use of taxpayer dollars to provide medical coverage to undocumented immigrants.”.

Federal funds aren’t used for full scope Medi-Cal coverage for undocumented immigrants though, only state funds, because there’s already a federal law on the books that prohibits this.

What if it is flipped, and Jeffries is the liar? Your entire argument is Jeffries says this so it is true. You are accusing us of the opposite.

We post actual websites from California and New York confirming our point, or the progressive caucus leader to khanna saying illegals do get some but it is “not that much”, and you continue to fall back to Jeffries says.
