It's an illusion. I'm Canadian, and if you judged by the Canadian users on Sherdog you'd be sure that Trump was a popular figure in Canada. The reality, though, is that he's much less popular here than he is in the US. It's not even close, really.

As for the reasons why - he is obviously not a clever man who has absolutely no business being near any position of power, who now has a cult like following among others who are even dumber than he (some of whom are in this thread)

Non Americans who support Trump tend to be reactionary folks with little interest in policy or history, but prefer to communicate their political preferences in memes. At least from my experience.

He is wealthy enough to never have to work another day in his life and despite this, he went through all of the slings and arrows from the media, and blasted through the politically correct, degenerate zeitgeist of our generation to try and do the right thing for his country. He is a patriot and a statesman. America really doesn’t deserve him.

The highlight of his presidency, for me, was when he visited Kim Jong Un in North Korea. It had never been done before and I imagine it must have taken a lot of courage.

For his sake, I hope he doesn’t run in 2024 and that he can find some happiness in his life.
