Opinion Why do so many non Americans like Trump?

I'm curious since he was never their President and you don't get to vote.

Any non US people here want to chime in? It would be interesting to hear why. Since you don't have a horse in the race and can't really be labeled an American right winger.

Unapologetic Trump fan myself

Hes fucking hilarious and triggers the crap out of a bunch of whiny leftist pussies.

That alone makes me a fan.

You guys yell that to each other through your windows while the military locked you down?

I always like how yanks try to use that against us as if we all were for it and like it was the greatest thing ever.

It would be like saying y'all for school shootings

Did you vote for the people that made the policy or vote them out afterwards?

That's quite a generalization there.

Good point.

There are nice places but when you're sending kids to school with bullet proof backpacks and thousands of people go bankrupt because they can't afford to pay for treatments/medicine, shits fucked yo.

You guys cut abortion off at 23 weeks don’t you? Well we had no law. Now states can make their own just like Australia does

Is he popular? I feel like most other countries shamed the US for voting him in and for allowing it to happen lol

Have you noticed that even hanging meat around your neck doesn’t get you dog to play with you any more? You sound super pleasant.

I'm American, but Obama seemed considerably more popular internationally than Trump, especially when first elected. Obama is more of a statesman. More measured, less abrasive. Some right-wing populists/nationalists in other countries may like Trump more, but I wouldn't say that's a majority.

Everyone loves President Trump…..Trump supporters are the silent majority…
Even in 2016, he LOST the popular vote and only won the Electoral College. In 2020, he lost the popular vote MUCH worse than in 2016. Do you not know what a majority means? Joe Biden got a MAJORITY of the vote in 2020, with 51.3%. Trump got 46.9%. That is a MINORITY not a majority.

Do you guys not know what words mean anymore? Nixon had a silent majority because he actually won a majority of the votes (in 1972 at least, '68 was a plurality). The Republicans literally have NOT won the popular vote since 2004. Before that it was 1988. Face the facts, you've lost the silent majority. You're a very vocal minority now and you're lucky you've got that EC bullshit instead of the popular vote in actual democracies. Trump not only NEVER won a majority, he didn't even get a plurality! And this chump claims elections were stolen from HIM.

He's very popular in Québec with the qanon crowd. My sister told me it's the same in Ontario. I guess they see him as their Lord and Saviour.
There's a Filipina living in Canada who declared herself to be the Queen of Canada and has a large QAnon following there. She actually got 30 chuds to show up and raid a police station in Canada. The cops basically ignored them and then when some of them tried to get aggro, they fucked them up and arrested a few.

If there wasn't an EC, the U.S. would cease to exist as a union.

The middle red's cannot go on forever with NY/CA's super liberal majorities dictating life in the land.

Same issue going on in Europe. Eastern block countries, Ireland, Scotland, etc. don't want laws for Brit's and French dictating their lives.

It's very difficult having a civil union of such diverse areas, especially in a 50/50 population.

They must really love the current POTUS who tried to get Americans to "vaccilate" whatever the hell that is and gets riled up to the point of calling a young woman a "Lying, dog-faced pony soldier", humiliating her in front of everyone nationally.

Add in the falling down stairs, falling off of a bike, shitting his pants in fear over the Easter Bunny, and calling Kamala Harris President at least twice and he's the all time low regarding Presidents in my lifetime.

But, he's entertaining enough with stories of that bad dude "Cornpop" and the Amtrak conductor who used to grab his cheeks and call him "Joey baby!' in a thick Italian accent.
Not that it's any better (well better for your body, but still embarrassing), but Biden actually fell UP stairs, LOL.

It's a false equivalence. Those are different countries. Not a good comparison with states in the same country. Popular vote should count within a country. Not the same as the EU. And even then, those countries voluntarily join the EU or not. If they don't think the juice is worth the squeeze, then they can leave. Just like the UK did. I don't think you have a good argument on either count, with all due respect.

I think you underestimate the level of difference between states such as NY/NJ/CA/WA/OR and say, MS/AK/AL, etc.

The greater the disparity in political execution, the more important the EC is for continuity.

Just like countries can leave the EU, without the EC, states would and could leave the Union, if politics stayed as is.

They're less populated and have different ideologies, histories and needs than states like CA/NY/NJ/IL etc.

Not having a say in politics is a sure way of causing civil disengagement

I saw that. "Let's arrest policemen because a lunatic told us to." An old woman kicked a cop and the morons were surprised when another cop tried to arrest her. It was like a bad comedy.

We share a planet, but we live in another world.
