If it reminds people constantly tly that the virus came from China, and their government did everything they could to hide everything for as long as they could, downplayed it when they couldnt anymore, and are now trying to change the narrative that it WASNT them that initially caused this disaster, I say we call it the Wuhan Virus.

I really don't think it should be called "China virus" but I don't blame Trump for saying it, because he was just retaliating for China's smear campaign against the US, claiming the US government attacked China with it.

Trump seems to have moved on from calling it the "China virus" after Chinese gov. officials started walking back the claim it came from the US.

So it should be called the Wuhan Virus, because it has been common to name a virus after its place of origin or the species it was transmitted from. Since we don't yet know for certain whether it jumped from a bat to a pangolin then to a human, referring to it from its place of origin makes sense.
