Why are Blanchfield and Fiorot so overrated?

Erin's biggest weakness is her takedown ability. She is a nightmare on top on the ground, but her takedowns are only like 6/10 quality.

Rose is literally better than Grasso everywhere. I think you're in for a rude awakening when Grasso has to face off against the top 5 of this division.
You don't have any basis for claiming that Rose has a better ground than Grasso unless you think subimits Michelle Watterson and Page Vanzant are more impressive feats than choke Valentina, something that not even Nunes or any else has done. You probably forgot Alexa took Val's back in second fight too and cast in a very dangerous position for Shevchenko. Rose was like a turtle on her back in the ground against Enrin, very poor and inofensive guard. Alexa guard is such active

People talks about Grasso weak TDD but Rose is took down in almost every fight. She was slamed like shit by Andrade and choked by Sparza. By the way, 52 kg Alexa did way better against Sparza than Rose in her two loss lol

Because WMMA is vastly overrated, Namajunas is probably the P4P most skilled fighter of the bunch, and she was outmuscled by Manon who has nothing to bring but fondamentals

Val losing to Manon is a possibility. Val losing to Erin on the other hand is not.
Why not? Val has struggled with grappling before. Talia Santos was able to control her on the ground and Grasso was able to submit her. Surely if Erin takes her down she could do the same

Erin doesn't have the athleticism to be able to get Valentina's back the way Grasso did. She also doesn't have the athleticism to be able to beat Valentina in the scrambles the way Santos did, nor are her take downs as good.

Because, as usual, far too many Sherdoggers are caught up in the hype and don't know what the fuck they're watching. Same reason people thought Holly Holm was a top level striker who'd school the shit out of Valentina with her "superior" footwork and kickboxing, or that Weili would easily KO Joanna in 1 round. They don't understand that Manon is literally a 125lbs version of Holly Holm, or that Rose struggles against certain types of fighters which is why she lost to both Manon and Erin. It's like they've never watched a Rose fight where you can literally see her mentally quit after getting clinched and hit with body shots (this goes all the way back to TUF) which is what Manon & Erin did to her, and so they think that they're on Rose's level in striking. They're not, they're just bad style matchups for her who exploited a well known weakness.

Also, they watched Grasso get taken down at will in her latest fight and conclude that she has no TDD. What they didn't see was how Valentina setup those takedowns and the technique behind it. I suggest watching the fight again, the takedowns were straight out of the Frankie Edgar and GSP playbook (feinting punches into a knee tap, shooting reactive doubles), there ain't no stopping that. Valentina has the best takedown accuracy out of all the women in the UFC, #2 is Suarez. Grasso's TDD and ground game is better than it looks, and she's far better at creating scrambles on the ground than Rose is.

Here's the thing. Manon is a big athletic fighter who has a style that's tough for most women to deal with. It works well vs. opponents who do not have a deep background in striking since she can just combo spam them all day. It does not work against good strikers like Valentina who know how to make reads and counter, Holly Holm tried that at 135 and it didn't go well for her. As for Blanchfield, cardio & toughness will get you a long way in the women's game, and you also need to acknowledge that she's pulled several subs out of her ass in fights where she was getting her ass kicked. People look at the wins but not how she won and what led up to it.
