Why are Blanchfield and Fiorot so overrated?

watching WMMA in 2024 is crazy
Coming onto an mma forum, clicking on every wmma thread and saying wmma sucks is crazy. Ur never gonna get laid. Get over it. Stay out of these threads ya wierdo loser

Val has a pretty competent double leg. I'm saying Blanch's TDs are so bad even Grasso who has no TDD will stuff a few or enough of them. I could also be wrong. But I agree if Blanch can get it to the ground it's a wrap.
Blanch cound't finish a exhausted and physically weaker Rose in the gorund, why would finish Grasso who has a better bjj? Grasso could defend some Val take downs attempts in the first two fights, I don't think her TDD is null (Val took everyone she wanted down)

Who knows. Erin did not look good against Manon at all and she was looking outclassed in the first 2 rounds against Rose until Rose had a malfunction and dropped the other 3 rounds. If that was a 3 rounder Rose would have won soundly, Erin got lucky it was 5. I don't see Erin getting past Grasso, Grasso actually has power in her hands and can perform consistently over 5 rounds. It's going to be a very tall order for Manon to beat Shev as well, and I don't think she gets it done. Shev is going to outsmart her and out technique her but I think that one will be closer than Erin vs Grasso will be IMO.
If that fight was at 115 Rose would have smoked her. It's sad but she is just too small at 125. Here striking looks good, but she can't hurt people and then gets held down. The way she fought made it seem like she didn't know it was a 5 rounder or something. That "flurry" by Blanchfield in the 5th reminded me of a school yard fight, but it got Rose to shoot I guess.

Clicking on every wmma thread? This is the first one I clicked on lmao, you're oddly defensive about wmma fights, do you goon to them or something? You can do whatever you want bro, no one's judging your weird kinks😂

Manon is a good athlete. She isn't overrated. She had to fight Blanchfield carefully because of the submission threat. I think Manon beats Grasso because she doesn't have to worry about the takedowns. The only knock I have for Manon is that she tends to cruise when she builds up a lead. She doesn't really try to push for a finish.

Rose is literally better than Grasso everywhere. I think you're in for a rude awakening when Grasso has to face off against the top 5 of this division.

Grasso is not very good at wrestling, she got blanketed by Esparza. Her performances against an aging Valentina have got you guys thinking she is better than she is. Blanchfield would dominate her if they fought. Manon takes the title. Val has aged out of the sport but is clinging onto the title because she went through a trilogy with a fighter who wasn't actually the best contender and just got a shot out of happenstance.
She doesn't have to be very good at wrestling if she's able to stop the TD's. Rose was able to stop all of them early on as well as reverse Uno one of them. It wasn't until after the 2nd when Rose started malfunctioning that Erin was able to start getting her down. If Erin can't get Grasso down she's going to get pieced up all night. Erin's stand up game is not good and is easily exploitable. Val vs Manon will be a closer fight than you think. Whoever wins it will be by an inch, not a mile.

Right now on the front page almost a quarter of the threads involve WMMA. I truly can not remember a time since Ronda's heyday where that was the case. Not a good or a bad thing, just a thing.

Is there anything else this weekend to talk about?? The Moreno fight was pretty cut and dry one way traffic

This fight was the only thing in the card with actual meaning

it would be a 5 round right, not a 3 round one. Val loses to either of them.

Happy days?

Everyone will be reminded of how boring Shevchenko is to watch when she cannot take her opponent down vs. Friorot.

Erin Blanchfield will be champ, she just had an off night against her absolute hardest stylistic match up in the division other than Shevchenko

Already has 2 champs on her resume and is only 25 and looking better each fight, she isn't even in her prime yet.

Are you really comparing Enrin's take downs ability to Valentina? Val is way more athletic, fast, and mixe wrestling with judo. She's way more unpredictable since she's mixing elite striking with take downs. Her timing is crazy good

Enri was not even trying to submit Manon and Rose. Grasso's ground game has evolved a lifetime since she started training with Diego. Her defeats to Sparza and Suarez was six yerars ago in another division. Six years ago Enrin was being defeated by Tracy Cortez...

I remember when Taila Santos signed, was booked to fight Valentina. Everyone on sherdog wars that she had absolutely no chance they thought the fight was going to be a murder. When the fight actually happened most people thought she walked away with the wind, but was robbed.

I remember when Alexa Grasso got booked to fight Valentina everyone thought that this was going to be a quick finish that Grasso absolutely did not have the skill set to even trouble Valentina. The fight happened and Valentina got finished.

Yet people still haven’t learned their lesson about underestimating the contenders in this division.

Both Talia and Grasso did not set any alarms or have any hype while they were making their way of the division.

Not only did Manon and Erin face harder competition on their climb. They looked more dominant as they made their way up the ranks. They beat many more title challengers and former champions along the way.
Erin defeat Molly Mcann far easier than Santos did.
