Who's the bigger star Brock Lesnar or Ronda Rousey?

Damn. It's not even fair to compare her to McGregor anymore?

Not only has Ronda become the face of mma (along with McGregor/Aldo), but she is also possibly the face of women's sports. This is especially because women are only starting to do mma, so now she gets more buzz for that.

Brock being a huge pro wrestler though does have an edge, but Ronda has been too dominate of late.

At this point Ronda, but it is a kind of Royce Gracie type fame. She is the flavor of the month, that will last years, but after the dust settles, I think Brock will be more famous.

Royce is still famous among the MMA community, and Ronda will always be as well, but as for mainstream fame, I think that will fade with the next big thing.

uhh brock lesnar hands down

Wrong,

Brock aint no movie star. Main streamers don't know who he is. and it may be news to Americans but the WWE aint really that big outside of America.

Movies > WWE

brock without a doubt in terms of earning power

Movies > WWE

All of Ronda's movies have either been straight to DVD shit that nobody watches or 30 second cameo appearances. If she wasn't even in those movies it would have no effect on the plot or endings whatsoever. People are trying to act like she's a big movie star or something.

Look at their PPV numbers.

There's no debate in this. None.

Fast 7 = $350,034,110 (USA) (5 June 2015)
Expendables 3 = $39,292,022 (USA) (10 October 2014)

UFC 168 (1,025,000 buys)
Ronda's fight with Meisha

And 190 reports higher numbers?

Maybe within the UFC internally he might be a bigger draw, but externally to the big wide world Brock got nothing on Ronda

BTW WWE released its 2015 first quarter financial report, and it shows 259,000 PPV buys for WrestleMania 31, which is down from 690,000 buys in 2014 for WrestleMania 30.

So brock the bigger star? lol

Brock Lesnar.
Biggest draw they ever had imo.

Rousey is probably the biggest star right now in UFC, but that crazyness when Brock was champ that was bigger on sherdogforum than we have now with Conor or Ronda.

Just my 2 cents.

Her roles in fast 7 and expendables are so small that if she wasn't even in the movie at all, it would make no difference to the plot or ending. Nobody bought tickets to go see those movies because of her. She was not a main character in either of those movies. She wasn't even on the commercials.

UFC 168 sold well because the main event was Weidman/Silva 2. The rematch where the best champion in UFC history had just lost his belt. That event would have sold pretty much the same even if Ronda wasn't on the card.

UFC 190 does not report over 1 million buys, you just made that up.

260,000 PPV buys for Wrestlemania is fucking great. Do you not realize that most of the WWE fans get wrestlemania included with the WWE Network streaming service so they don't have to buy PPVs, they just pay a monthly charge instead?

So pretty much all of your points are wrong.

Top UFC events of all time. This was as of 2014 so its a little old but here it is. Keep in mind Lesnar only had an 8 fight career.

1. UFC 100, Lesnar and GSP on the card, 1,600,000 buys

2. Lesnar vs. Carwin 1,116,000 buys

5. (Tied) Lesnar vs. Velasquez 1,050,000 buys

7. Couture vs. Lesnar 1, 010,000 buys

which is a good argument that what i called the "coveted 18-34yo male demographic" is more important than the overall. because i think it's pretty clear that overall, Ronda is making a bigger splash for the UFC. even if it doesn't lead directly to PPV buys.

interesting argument, really, which is more valuable. even more interesting if one takes into account that Zuffa was still more heavily reliant on PPV purchases in Brock's today than they are today.

I hope you're kidding. She was nothing to those films. In fact anyone's who's seen them will tell you she was the worst part.

Brock without a doubt, didn't he get a Epsn interview like lebron to say if he was staying at WWE or going back to the UFC? The hype around him being at that event was talked about more in the prelims then the actual fights.

Until the beginning of this year it was Brock.

As of now it's Rousey and it isn't even remotely close whether measuring social media engagement, google searches, twitter, instagram, mass media, etc.

She was hardly in the movies she has been in. Far from a "movie star"

Brock sells much more and brings in more fans. Ronda fans are shitting themselves over the possibility of 800k PPV buys, but that would be a disappointment for Brock and even average for GSP

What about what actually matters. Getting people to watch. Brocks best card is still at least double what Ronda's is. Ronda's best card would be a huge disappointment for Brock
