It looked like Jan was going to humiliate him with a R1 choke. That would’ve been disastrous for Pereira’s hype.

It was a close fight. Jan could have got the split decision and I wouldn’t have been shocked.
Keep in mind Alex is bigger than Izzy and Jan is 40 and fought in Utah. There’s a good chance 38 year old Jan fighting in Vegas does the exact same thing to Alex as he did to Izzy or worse. Also 3R vs 5R.

I'm an Alex fan - going back to Glory and TBH I preferred him there too. But c'mon already. Izzy didn't get a sniff of a round in the fight with Jan and Alex beat him, I believe fair and square. if that fight had gone 5 rounds, he would likely have finished him.

He has beaten Izzy 3 times out of for in combat and has wins in two divisions across two combat sports.

He's a better fighter than Izzy. By any measure.
