You don't think the Maia aftermath was somewhat deserved and arguably self inflicted given Anderson's in octagon behavior and overall performance in that fight? If you believe he shouldn't have copped some abuse for that I'm guessing your the type to suggest Jones shouldn't get stick for having repeatedly failed drug tests. Also do you want to talk about all the times on these boards he's been venerated as the GOAT? Find an example any UFC fighter who hasn't copped some flak on these boards buds, it's impossible.
 
Well, Whittaker is right.
He was average against a guy with shitty standup.
But Whittaker shouldn't have said that, imo, since he lost badly to Adesanya.
Just keep it to yourself.
Also, Whittaker's performance was average against a guy with a broken arm in R1.

Whittaker is scared shitless. He was already on record hoping Vettori won because he didn't want to fight Izzy again. The guy is a nice guy but he is just weird. And I don't think he mentally handled the fact Izzy beat him last time, as evidenced by his year long time away.

People really hate Izzy but do you really want Whittaker as MW champ again? Lol if you do get ready for one title fight every year, constant pullouts, boring press conferences, etc

Not trying to necessarily be insulting here but your last sentence reeks of the type of fanboy who froths over McGregor press conferences and likely watches those Youtuber boxing fights for the drama of it all. You do you though.

Really? Apart from one brief moment of concern in the 3rd Whittaker pieced up Cannonier. Incidentally you do realize the only reason Cannonier had a broken arm was because he would have been knocked the fuck out by a headkick if he hadn't gotten his arm up in time to defend said kick right? It's not like Cannonier was coming into the fight with an existing issue.

If you're the type of fanboy who needs, in the vast majority of cases what amounts to be faux drama to get hyped for a fight of this quality those youtube boxing events are probably right up your alley. Me, I'm just hyped as fuck for the clear best two current MWs on planet earth to throw down again. Here's hoping Whittaker puts in one helluva lot better performance than last time and gets the W.

Whittaker wasnt a good champion for the UFC.
His body was constantly breaking down and as he has admitted to, he lost motivation. He's a bland guy that has little substance. Sorry

Ufc doesn't want Whittaker as champion. Its why he had to go fight 3 times before getting another title shot, and why they gave the last title fight to Vettori. And it's why if Daddysanya somehow miraculously loses to Bobby Bland, he will be granted an immediate rematch.

Honestly I suspect Rob will lose in almost identical fashion, he'll be afraid to really commit forward at the risk of being countered again and Izzy will take a relative easy decision wn.

They gave the last fight to Vettori because Whittaker didn't want a short turn around which would have included 2 weeks of quarantine whilst rehabbing an injured hand. Whittaker didn't have an issue with them fighting. I get it you like perhaps even need your favourite fighters to have big outlandish personalities, even if they are forced, or obviously fake. There's nothing inherently wrong with that, Conor brought a lot of fans like that into the UFC, there's a lot of crossover with WWE too, which I'd imagine is right up your alley.

You realize you just contradicted yourself entirely though right? Or are you explicitly taking about how Marvin lost? Whittaker needs a better game plan sure, but I think he knows he's not going to win a kick boxing fight with Adesanya.

The use of "Cu*t" in Australia is not the same as other countries. It's a term of endearment more often than not. Rob wouldn't be taking offence at all to that jibe.

Some examples:
Sick cu*t = good mate
Dumb cu*t = someone who's made a mistake, big or small
Mad cu*t = a mate who's carried out a favor on your behalf.
Random cu*t = an unknown person, usually king hits people
Big cu*t = a gym junkie
 
Marvin is not an easy finish, but Izzy does fight safe enough to win as priority. Marvin did not leave himself as exposed but also took less chances himself trying to score. Of course Izzy not invincible, but he is clearly the best in the division while his chin holds up. Izzy will lose eventually but doubt next fight. P.s. one can still hope.
 
He fought dumb last time, if he's patient he can win.
