There's a big Highland Games in Livonia (not far from my house) tomorrow morning if you're interested. Amateurs compete from 8:30-12:00 and pros go from 11:30 to 4:30. I'm going to do my best to go watch a chunk of it.

I felt like shit today, haven't ate enough the past few days. Work has been busy and they are cranking up our OT more and I tend to forget to eat when I'm occupied. Regardless, good workout. I got some squats in nice and deep and the pain wasn't there. The area is still really tight and I'm just going to keep hitting it every workout until I'm back up to full strength. The most I have ever put over my head is 242, and I did it for 8 reps today so that is progress. Got the 242x2 and 198x10 on video, will upload later. It dawned on me that I can get 300 pounds overhead by the end of the year if I keep at it.

Early... like 8:30/9:00. Lots of house and yard work to do later on.
 
What exactly were you doing for the hip pain?

Nice jerks. Have you tried a split jerk at all?
 
I could probably jerk more if I did about 100 things better at this point. It's only my second workout with them, hopefully over the next few months I sort it out.
 
Went and watched the St. Andrew's Highland Games this morning with Fatty. It looks like a good time. I plan to do it next year. The winner of the amateurs was drinking beer and smoking during the awards ceremony, that's my kind of sport. 5 of the top 10 ranked pro's were there throwing, saw some pretty sick stuff.

Yes. I'm going to try and pull from the floor tonight. If I can do that with no pain I can probably start squatting heavy next week again.




Last night I went and ran 10 gassers on the football field. I couldn't find my old cleats which made this somewhat suck, but after 5 I was so tired it wasn't like rapid change of direction was in the cards.
 
You could always compete in the Gaelic games at the Dublin Irish festival. I am going to next year.
