So this fight, this fight is something else. Khamzat is finally fighting for the title, probably the most hyped prospect in this decade and DDP is really, like he said recently, he is really what we thought Khamzat was going to be.
The hype is palpable, the fight is as good as it gets, and the outcome is really who knows who's going to win. Three hings you want in a great fight, what can you ask for more really
I don't think DDP had a lot of hype behind him relatively speaking, because he got ktfo two fights before he came to UFC and he fights ugly. I mean, I know tons more ppl, including me, wanted Soldic who knocked him out instead. But DDP really talks the talk, and walks the walk. I mean it's not easy to do. Look at Romero for example, he was talking like his unborn child's life was at stake, looking like a machine, then fought like Izzy had a death touch.
There's a lot to respect DDP for. And he may or may not win, but he got the personality to go along with it as well. And he literally went all the way up to the title without having cherry picked opponents like a lot of fighters do sometimes.
I think my list would go something like
1. GSP vs Hughes 2
2. Conor vs Aldo
3. Conor vs Khabib
4. GSP vs BJ Penn 2
5. Jon Jones vs Cormier
6. Anderson vs Weidman
7. Shogun vs Machida
8. GSP vs Hendricks
9. Machida vs Rashad
10. Khamzat vs DDP
