Give Paddy the shot. It's not about deserving or not. Armen already has a fight booked. Charles and Max already lost to Illia recently. Justin's ultimatum is a no-go with the UFC, for if it worked, it would make more fighters act the same. Dariush just got KO'd and Fiziev has lost 3 of his last 4. Paddy is the highest ranking LW with at least 3 wins in a row (not counting the champ).

I think people will be shocked by the result of this fight, Paddy will give Topuria a lot of problem.

Topuria size does not belong in LW division, this fight will show that.

Also it looks like the winner of Max, Olives would have something to say about the title picture. We'd be getting an Oliveira with recent wins over Holloway and Gamrot or a Holloway with recent wins over Gaethje and Oliveira.

These gaps cause guys to make drastic cuts.

It can be stopped and controlled easily.

only these would have a chance, if pure grappling, to maybe not get submitted, maybe they can control. MMA, the odds are even lower IMO.

It should be ilia-Gaethje, also it absolutely doesn't make sense to make Arman fight Hooker but not Paddy, also hold on a minute, Holloway's recent win was Poirier, yes, he did beat Justin but it was a year ago and Max already got a title shot.

No one makes more sense than Gaethje, Paddy should get 1 more win to be in the title picture, there's Oliveira or Holloway waiting for him and he should not get a shot off of beating Michael Chandler, that would be terrible for the business.

Also think about the fact that Stipe got a title shot against Jon but Gaethje not getting it? also I give Justin more chances at beating ilia than Stipe ever had at beating Jon.

There's gotta be a system.
Like saying "why go through all the trouble" of weight at all... Or drug testing ... Or divisions.

It's a simple solution.

Being weighed within a few pounds of your contracted weight is easy.
If they go 10lbs over they're in another division.
If that breaks the contract, it costs them money and potentially their relationship with the ufc.
There's more divisions, and stops the absurd weigh cuts.

Even 205 is such a random weight choice.
So is 170.

There's a lot of in-betweeners.

We went through this decades ago with lightweight. Heavyweight is always too thin of a division... Pun intended
