Opinion What's the deal with layman(s) questioning the credentials and scientific ability of actual experts?

Mentally ill is coming to a karate forum for 20 years rambling about all kinds of horseshit, seeking validation.

Me pointing out your absurdities and lack of brain power is coming from a place of love and concern.

Add lying to the list with the toxicity man.

how hard is it to get a fucking answer on micro plastics?
Funny you should say that. This came up in my podcast playlist today. (25m)

@Brampton_Boy this is right up your alley. It debunks a lot of the scariest reports about micro-plastics. I'm betting it contains a lot of the same info you were communicating but I am curious to know where you disagree, if at all.

I get that (particularly the context of something like COVID), but the conversation I had with one guy is the equivalent of someone trying to deny that the sun exists.

I can measure micro-plastics, quantify it, show it to them in a physical form, and the guy was like "Nope, I don't believe you" (and for the record, I wasn't even trying to make the point of micro-plastics being good or bad, simply that it was a byproduct of manufacturing).
Pretty funny, someone thinking they don't exist.

Out of curiosity, do you have a sense for how it came to be that there was no term or research into or acknowledgement by scientists of their existence until 2004?

Seems like it would have been a pretty "no shit" type of hypothesis and reality, but was missed or ignored for many many decades by the scientific community?

Is it because of the funding captivity and narrow scope of what scientists reasearch based on only looking at what someone will pay them to look at? And a severe lack of "free-range" research at any moderate or high level of sophistication and technological resource?

Sherdog is not retarded, it is on the spectrum
Sherdog is the spectrum brother! <lol>
If you put hot coffee in a plastic cup. How does it not melt and "micro" aka small particles of plastic enter the liquid and you drink plastic ?
As a complete layman science guy in layman's terms, I'd suspect that something like a polystyrene foam cup has a melting point that decently exceeds the temp of a sub-boiling point temperature of coffee, same for a more hard or brittle plastic cup, however a softer, more "rubbery" plastic cup like a reusable one may impart some of the molecules into the liquid as they'd have a slightly lower temp melting point.

Just use a cardboardy cup like when Cletus the Slackjawed Yokel used cardboardy tubes for his indoor plumbing on the Simpsons:

Cletus: Looky here! Cardy-board tubes!

Brandine: Now we can have indoor plumbing, just like they's got at the womens' lockup.

Cletus: They spoilt you, Brandine. Sometimes I don't even know who you are anymore.

I can't find Sherdog on the DSM-5 bruh

I'd suspect it's more a super-category that encapsulates a large umbrella of actual diagnostic specifics but remains unspecified and unnamed as it's achieved such clinical renown as to not even be named yet always implied.

IIRC anyway
It's not even on DSM-5 TR 🤔

Take the profiteering out of science and people will trust it again. Tell us why things are bad, don't give us lies and hyperbole that will make you look like a liar in 5 years.

Your writing style changes the more you are challenged.... . I think you are trolling.
I think his writing style changes based on the liquid courage in his veins at the time of posting (I can recognize durnk posting, in my own past posts too) although I don't know his native language and it might just be that too
