Is a bad launch a death sentence for a new IP?

How much tougher is DS Remake compared to the OG game?
I found it more annoying. Not "tough", just cheap. I only played it for a few hours, but it seemed like they really amp'd up the "look behind you!" factor, with every enemy encounter. I haven't played the original in a long time, so I might be mis-rembering how it played, but I don't remember it being so predictably cheesy with it's enemy placement.

Whatever you do don't play Lord's of the Fallen lol

Do you mean Demon’s Souls? If so, it’s not harder, as it’s pretty much a direct 1:1 remake, so it’s no harder or easier, it’s pretty much exactly the same.
He meant Dead Space.

Been playing a lot of HMCC a lot and having a blast. Almost through Halo 3 then off to Reach.

Before the Black Friday sales end should I pick up Yakuza Like a Dragon. Anyone recommend it here?

It's a good Yakuza game, but it has a JRPG combat system as opposed to the beat em up brawling of the other titles, so depending on how much you like that that kind of system, will have an effect on your enjoyment. It's a pretty decent system for their first crack at it, though.

GT7, got it on sale, first time in well over a decade I’ve preferred GT to its Forza counterpart.

I loved like a dragon but the combat system is turn based. If you’re ok with that than it’s a great game.

Yeah, I saw that afterwards. When I read his post and replied to it I didn’t realize that there was a whole another page left. I hate all the changes they’ve done to the place, including the one that tripped me up here, it’s less noticeable as to what page in the thread you’re on.

I'm a huge FF and JRPG stan so Turn based is no problem for me. Lost Odyssey is one of my GOAT game's.

Think I'm gonna get it thanks for the recommend guys

Oh then yea you’ll love it. They did a really good job with it and it’s a lot more fun than I thought it would be.

That, and they so desperately needed a break from the beat 'em up shit, which was just mind-numbing at that point. It was a pretty drastic and risky move, but like you said, they did a pretty good job with it. It's pretty basic, but I found it to be more fun than a lot of "traditional" JRPG's, like "Dragon Quest", mainly due to the Yakuza setting. You get some pretty unique powers to play around with, and the animations bring them home.

I honestly didn't think it work, because the Yakuza series does tend to wear one out after a while with it's never ending combat, but it was pretty fun to mess around with, and gave the franchise a fresh shot in the arm that it desperately needed.

I purchased the Mortuary Assistant and Cyberpunk on steam sale. And I haven't touched either because I'm trying to do a run through of Alien Isolation on the hardest difficulty. They put two god damn Aliens now in the game!

Started Sons of the Forest and running around like an idiot, but finally getting my bearings. Got nice little camp and glad to see if cam turn off destructible buildings. When I played the first one I didn't know anything about and when the mutants spawned in, one completely wrecked my base and I wasn't equiped to stop it.

I like the helper guy and have him collecting stuff for the base while head out searching for stuff. Don't want to get to invested with the full release right around the corner so probably won't get to far in case.they roll anything back or make drastic changes.

Been playing Skyrim all weekend. Last playthrough was about a decade ago and it still holds up. The combat is as horrible as ever but the exploration and music are still amazing.

Had all last week off which was nice. Played and beat TLOU Part 1 and got the plat. Such a great game and the remake looks really good. Will wait for TLOU Part 2 upgrade and then replay that as well.

Started up armored core 6 and it's been amazing. When it comes to gameplay FromSoft is just on another level. The presentation of the game outside of missions isn't my favorite but it's not to bad. Also enjoying the straight forward nature of the game. Not much exploring to do and it's pretty much point a to b and getting the mission done. Bosses have been tough but not to bad. The one I'm stuck on right now I've come so close to beating like so many damn times already but he keeps winning in the end. It's easily been my hardest boss so far. At the end of chapter 3.

I started it just after finishing OG FF7 for the first time, and it very much scratched the itch. Only qualm are there are a few bits you need to grind, and that can be a little repetitive, otherwise it's absolutely fantastic.
