I picked up pathfinder way of the righteous for $13 cause it was on sale. I’ve considered getting a game like this for awhile because my favorite game of all time is very similar but I always got scared off by the complexity to get started. I promised myself before the game that I’d simply just take my time and read everything, get into the game, commit the time to get some general understanding of a decent build.

The results are paying off. I’m 15 hours in and very much enjoying the game so far. Loving the companions and ability to play as an evil character. Each character I’m meeting makes sense and is very well thought out.

Fully anticipating I’ll be spending a lot of time here.

I've tried beating the first one a few times but I always ended up dropping it. I was enjoying it but I don't know felt like something always came up. Make sure to play BG3 if you enjoy this. Same idea but way way more put into the game.

Got my cool new spectral wings in "Diablo 3". Fun stuff. This is easily the deepest I've ever been in the game, but I gotta say that once you really get up there, it gets kinda stupid. Even a bit before. You're just dodging one-hit kills, which is really only possible for a few builds. Literally everyone on the Leaderboards is a Demon Hunter, since it has the best evasive skills.

Got back into "Fallout 4", but it's constant crashes are getting to be a bit much. Think I might just start up some Skyrim.

Just finished Like a Dragon Garden: The Man Who Erased His Name.

It took about twenty five hours I think?

The main story isn't very long, but there is plenty of side content. I also appreciate the gaps in the story, making going out and exploring the town feeling more natural, so I finished all of the side content before the main story. Side missions are decent and well implemented, as having them picked up at a specific point makes them easy to find.

The story verges from frustration, to a thrilling climax and an incredibly sad ending. The characters are top end, memorable and likeable and unlikeable, but never boring. The end boss is right up there with being the series best. Kiryu continues to be the GOAT main character for me.

I miss Outrun, but a lot of the classic mini-games are back. Sotenbori is a small map, but there is a lot to do. The "Castle" is a nice little new thing, and a decent way to make money.

I've always preferred Kiryus more brutish style over Yagamis slickness, and prefer them both over Ichibans RPG combat. Agent serves well initially, but classic is king once everything is maxed. There are also more enemies in fights in this game and they're a bit more aggressive, though I found it to be more fun as Kiryu becomes beastly fast. Also, levelling up is easy, as money is easy to find.

The game looks and runs solidly, though I think that it doesn't look better than Like a Dragon or the Judgments? Either way, it isn't really an issue. Sound is good as well. It's all polished and neat, no technical issues whatsoever.

There is a lot of fan service and throwbacks to the past in this game so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone starting out with the series. If you have played the previous games however, it's well worth a buy.

Overall? I really enjoyed this and I consider it to be right up there as one of the best in the series. Though I love the Yakuza series, I have plateaued at certain times in 4, 5 and even 6. I didn't have that issue at all in this.

There is also a demo of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth attached to the game. I won't be playing it, or watching any clips online. I'll be playing it as soon as it is launched.

Yeah I heard lots of people like BG3. I just find the games so relaxing. Something tells me it might be awhile before I clear this one <45>

Alien Isolation and Metroid Prime on the switch.

Fuckin so used to auto saves that Metroid Prime remastered kinda tricked me and I forgot to go back to my ship and save and lost about an hour's progress. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

killer game though and looks fuckin great with the new coat of paint!

i used to rent super mario rpg for my super nintendo all the time like 30 years ago but i never did beat that game

so ive been emulating the new remake on my pc for the last 2 days and i havent even put 10 hours in and i finished it. well aside from the culex thing and doing all the bosses again which is a new thing apparently.

i dunno what i was doing way back all those decades ago. i must have been moving at a snails pace or something cause every time i rented it i never finished it. and damn, i gotta say this is probably the easiest game i've ever played. well, one of them anyways. the music was kinda cool though. the story had its funny moments, but was forgettable

next up on deck for emulation, i've got super mario bro's wonder all ready to go, and then hopefully i'll be able to get back to zelda totk.

i got so many other games on my backlog i wanna catch up with, but i think for now ill just nintendo and chill.

Just came here to say Yongyea sucks and hope you played it in Japanese.

I've only tried a Yakuza game in English once, Like a Dragon, and I restarted it before the chapter ended.

The games are too...Japanese...for them to be played in English. It seems weird to me, regardless of the quality of the voice acting. Hearing Japanese terms spoken in American English was a bit distracting.

Besides, Takaya Kurada IS Kiryu, and Kazuhiro Nakaya was amazing as Ichiban.

hate to say it as ive never been big into nintendo games, and outside of zelda i never really care much of them but ive been having a bit of fun emulating super mario bros wonder. not really hard or anyhing and i can just drink and play the game mindlessly. think im on the 4th world now or something even though ive just been taking my time and casually doing everything along the way before i do the castle.

this games pretty chill

WoTR is easily in my top 5 ARPGs. That game is amazing, but it has a huuuge learning curve. Don't be afraid to look up build guides/videos to optimize your team.

Finally playing through the new Lords of the Fallen and im enjoying it. Also doing runs in Warm Snow which if you like Hades is worth checking out.

about to catch up on my baldurs gate 3 run. they put out a patch 4 not too long ago which looks massive.

uggh i feel so lost in BG3. i just got into the 2nd act but i cant even remember whats going on anymore or what i was doing. for fuck sakes. i shouldnt have put it down. now i feel so unfamiliar with everything.

I'm sad this isn't on the PS5. Would have been an instant purchase

Yeah same I was scouring the ps store for it before I realised. Hopefully comes out soon.

I'm still playing the Lords of the Fallen reboot and having, honestly, the time of my life. Me right now 80h in:

After this, I don't know. Zaz reminded me of Last Faith's launch last week – a 2D Soulsborne – and I'm thinking that. My friend and I play a lot of these games simultaneously but not together (we have to solo everything) and I'm trying to get him to pick up LF too despite his wanting to return to Thymesia after LotF. SMH. Priorities, son.
