Is a bad launch a death sentence for a new IP?

super mario rpg is coming to the switch in a couple weeks. i wasnt even aware of that until they released some new footage and information going around. they overhauled the graphics and apparently they added a whole bunch of quality of life changes as well

i never did finish that one on the snes but i have some memories of it. i'll definately be emulating this one on yuzu

About to start Red Dead Redemption 2

Start? Don't judge it by it's horrible tutorial. It's slow as all fuck. Good cinematic vibe, but it really doesn't do a great job at introducing you to the world you're about to get let loose in.

Watermelon game. I don't know why it's so fun.

Finished Baldur's Gate 3. It was amazing!

Now playing Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty which is also surprisingly good. Had a level 38 character with which I hadn't finished the game so it's nice to balance between the DLC content and other side missions.

I just read that Fallout: Sonora (another fan made full total conversion mod for Fallout 2) finally got a playable English translation so gonna start that soon too.

So far it's been linear, but the story and the world building is good enough to keep me interested. Also the graphics are breathtaking. Playing it with almost maxxed settings on 1080 with a 3060 RTX GPU.

I have the option to replay story missions for stars. Is it just a trophy thing or do i earn ingame currency by doing so ? IDGAF about the trophies.

Yeah, I think it's just for trophy hunters. It might be related to unlocking some cosmetics as well, but I'm not sure. In game currency won't be a big issue after a little while.

And yeah, the graphics are amazing even on base level. Still one of, if not the best looking game out there. Rockstar are wizards.

Lords of the Fallen.

Despite the technical issues on Series X I got my build going a little bit more and the game is opening up. Really starting to enjoy the lore and environment. So far I don't seem to have totally screwed up my build yet either so that's a plus. Might start messing around with MP co-op to gain some vigor.

Lords of the Fallen.

Definite DS2 vibes and am having fun.

Uninstalled Forza Motorsport

Overtaking pisses me off. I had to stay in sixth, behind a car that was noticeably slower than I, because it kept hogging the lines.

It was my understanding you can do Quali in FM now. Is this not true? Lol at hogging the line. Try undercutting or slingshotting around them in passing straights.

This is what I did in October..

No idea as I uninstalled it a while ago. I heard that the option was there but greyed out, so maybe it was added since?

If I undercut, I was penalized for cutting. Straights was frustrating because whilst I was faster than the car ahead, I never had enough time to complete the pass.

Ah, never mind. Man Who Erased His Name is coming soon...

No idea what to play now that I have 100% on Lies of P.

Guess I'll play Descenders while I wait for Risk of Rain Returns.

Is Fallout Sonora a remaster of sorts?

I really wish BGS or M$ would put a team on remaking FO2 along the lines of Wasteland 3. They have so many Fallout vets on various teams.

I've been playing Star Trek Resurgance, a new studio of former Telltale Games devs. Despite the lazy pc port, the game is excellent so far, really captures the magic of Next Gen era Star Trek.

Dead Space remake on Game Pass. Never played the original, loved the Resident Evil series since the beginning and have heard the comparisons so i wanted to give it a go. The game looks great and plays pretty well too. I like the premise and the aesthetic but I think the execution needs some work. Biggest problem is I think the enemy design is goofy and stupid-looking, not scary. And it's just the same jump scares over and over again, one drops out of the vent in front of you and one spawns behind you. Overall decent but leaves a lot on the table IMO.

Star Ocean Second Story R (god that is a mouthful): If you love classic JRPGs, get it. Do it. Now. One of the best PS1 jrpgs, this is that, but modernized in all the right ways.

Fight Night Champion, Legacy Mode

My guy now holds all three belts.

Trick was to max out combinations, which really improves the speed, then fight behind a jab and straight. I made him as a counter fighter, but I'm more of an outside fighter to be honest.

I'm not sure how long I'll keep playing, as it doesn't offer much once the titles have been gained. It was a fun little sprint though, and I may keep it for after fights. It's only six gig.

I just saw a review of UFC5. The reviewer made it sound groundbreaking, but aside from the added polish, it looks very similar to 4. He said that the ground game has been revamped but it looks exactly the same. Stand up looks nice. Career mode looks different, but the same. Curious, might get it on EA Play, but I don't see myself buying it.

I need to slow down on videogames and get my arse back into the gym myself. I've been heavy for years but the gym kept me strong and active, and without it, things are becoming harder and hurting more.

With that said, Man Who Erased His Name is next.

The servers are still fairly active. Hop online.

Aw nice never knew another Risk Of Rain was coming out, thanks for the heads up.

Got into Risk Of Rain 2 again a couple of months ago, such a good roguelike.

Yup! I love RoR. The game comes out on the 8th I believe!

Fuck ya it is! The original was the best $2.74 I've ever spent and my favourite Roguelike. RoR 2 was amazing but I'm looking forward to going back to the 2D roots!
