There's a thread here: https://forums.sherdog.com/threads/helldivers-ii-galactic-emergency-invasion-is-live.4322244/

Everyone I know who's played it have really enjoyed it plus there is new content coming next week as well as the Halo crossover war bond (in game battle pass of sorts but can be bought by in game currency found in missions)

I really liked it, but I haven't played in a long while and I know there have been lots of updates since then so I can't speak to its current quality. But fundamentally it's a lot of fun and I'd recommend giving it a try

Actually like a bonehead I forgot I still need to play Doom the Dark Ages. I’ll do that first, then I’ll go back to D4.
Fair. **handshake deal

I'm about 50h in on D.IV right now and having so much fun. It's been my every-day game these last weeks.

Problem is, in 48h Shinobi lands. I want to play the Vessel DLC too (Spiritborn class, new region + skill progression whatnot) so I'm not in a place all that different from you.

I've a personal history of completing expansions more than not when playing everything together: base + DLC. This plan of later returning to a game and diving fresh into an expansion isn't something all that often I follow through with.

If I retire D.IV and move games, in short I might not come back.

Will you be playing Ghost of Yotei in about a month or prioritising Nightreign, DOOM, D.IV backlog?

I still haven’t played Ghost of Tsushima <Prem974>

Black Myth Wukong

Just beat the Tiger Vanguard, which I've heard is a make it or break it point for a lot of people. I don't know, I'm not really enjoying this one too much. Not sure if I care to finish tbh. I might pick up something else here like MGS or Hell is Us.

I didn't like it either. I did the trial on PS Premium and thought it was boring. Invisible walls everywhere, hits lack impact, annoying ass main character with monkey sounds all game. Wasn't for me.

Vampyr.

I played years ago and got the worst ending. Been meaning to do a no embrace/best ending playthrough for a while so i'm into that at the moment.

I'm watching Magic Monkey instead.

Dub is hilarious. It's just like what a racist pisstake of a Japanese person sounds like...

All still true a few chapters in, especially the invisible walls. They're maddening and kill the little bit of exploration this game does have.

I played it awhile ago but it kept freezing and I couldn't continue. Totally forgot about it. May give it another shot

Wish I was better with the media - for some reason cannot get the screen shots to go straight to my phone. But this moment was too cool not to share.

Chased down by a massive army, me and my companions unsupported by our allies were caught off guard and attacked outnumbered 5:1. Approx 200 allies and 890 enemy unit.

Unfortunately due to being hit pretty hard in an earlier battle, I only had 24 melee units. So I did what any reasonable person would do. I put every archer along an embankment and sent my best general to lead the 24 soldiers on the bridge in a shield walk formation.

The first wave of 200 came and we held well, I wasn’t surprised. But then the 2nd, 3rd and 4th waves held and still the “She Wulf” could be seen slashing through enemies.

This is what was left. 4 soldiers and the general. We held the line with the 24 soldiers clearing 189 units and myself/archers doing most of the other lifting. Definitely one of my favorite battles I’ve had.

Helldivers 2.

Grand in scope, but the textures go to PS1 levels on certain levels, even with graphical tweaks in the options menu.

Xbox Series S is obsolete.

I don't see myself getting another console either. As long as the Yakuza games play well on the platform, I may just bite the bullet and get a gaming PC...

Took a quick break to hit up the Cairn demo last night.

Boy did that pull me in. I found myself really getting a hang of the controls and then enjoying the big climb before the end of the demo. Really well done. My only feedback for devs would be the leg sometimes goes wonky when you’re stretching out to try and reach, and it breaks your immersion ever so slightly.

But overall this has potential to be a unique one of a kind game and def intend on buying when it comes out

About 60h in on Diablo IV. Am doing endgame loop with capstone + nightmare dungeons, helltides, gear min-max whatnot.

I want to say one more time the campaign was...10/10. Actually 11/10. Fantastic, especially the latter half with Hatred’s Cathedral, Lilith’s cutscenes, and marching through Hell. Mastery of art direction and score are what immediately spring to mind.

I'm guessing the antag of a Diablo V will be Mephisto. I'm already in. Body. Ready. 2028? In. 2030? In. Whatever. Whenever.

With no shortage of praise on my end, I'm thinking it's time to retire the game. I have installed right now Lies of P, Path of Exile 2 beta, and Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. There's, then, Yotei in 30d.

It's too much. I have to mush on. 2026 has bangers already lined up, too. No rest for the wicked.

I was actually playing Gears of War Reloaded the past week. Goddamn that gunplay is still so satisfying. Being a frantic situation and clutching an active reload and barely surviving an encounter with a Locust never got old. Every weapon is viable which adds a lot to what’s not a super expansive game. Enemy types can get a bit old and the friendly AI is laughably bad but the remaster added quite a bit to bring this into the next generation.

I was able to play at 120 fps and the remaster is using upscaling so the resolution was always crisp. New lighting and reflection effects, this was definitely more than just a fresh coat of paint.

Would definitely recommend for any fans of the original.

Also surreal seeing Gears of War and Microsoft Game Studios on my PS5.

You definitely need to invest in a PC. Helldivers runs fine on mine while still looking beautiful.

I’m on my third try getting into ESO. I have to say I don’t love it. But I’ve run out of games that I even like. So I’m giving it a lot longer this time.

The way the character models look, and the combat gameplay works, it feels like it’s a 30 year old game.

Helldivers 2 is annoying me.

Game after game, everyone splits up, bringing a load of enemies into the fray, and they don't even touch the objective.

I've been quitting a lot.
