Picked up Another Crabs Treasure or dare I say "Shellden Ring" :)
Got this installed myself! Going to try out after I beat Death Stranding. I've heard in addition to the gameplay being good, that the writing is witty.

Downloading Crusader Kings 3 to play for the first time. No experience with this series. Anyone have tips to give?

I remember loading up CK2 one time, and it looked extremely overwhelming. But I've heard this series is amazing so I'm going to give it another shot.
Okay scrap this.

I bought World of Mixed Martial Arts 5 and started my promotion. I sign a bunch of fighters, create some new weight classes (FW,BW, womens divisions) and book some fights.

On my first WW title fight, this guy wins the belt and then decides he's going to take a long hiatus of several months. Okay great. Then a few events later, my FW title is won by this guy and then afterwards he fails the damn drug test and the fights turned to a NC. Literally what the fuck guy? I turned down the quality of the drug testing to where a retard could pass it and you still fail!

Then, the next week is a LW title fight. The winner of that tests positive for PEDs too. All these motherfuckers are on steroids. I guess I didn't lower the quality of the drug tests enough.

Just Cause 3

Given how much fun I had with JC4 and hearing how this game is somehow so much better over the years, I gave it a shot. Picked up the XXL edition for a whole 6 bucks. Already got my money's worth. I think JC4 actually looked a lot better, and I really miss those balloons, but it's still very fun, and the actual "sandbox" gameplay is still the best out there. I think games like GTA and RDR are far better in their attention to detail within the world, as NPC's and whatnot react a lot more realistically, but nothing beats this series for just pure over the top craziness with a million different ways to experiment with the world. This is a true sandbox, and it invites you at every turn to mess around with it. If you can think it, you can do it, and it's all brought home with it's amazing physics engine that never crumbles under the weight of it all, and let's you do whatever you want.

That all said, much like the rest of the franchise, the campaign is a forgettable pile of shit that really only serves to make it less of a tech demo, which it basically is. You are tasked with...clearing outposts and taking over the map, with VERY little narrative driving you forward, other than having to take down the big bad dictator guy by...taking over the map. In this game, it's really not even necessary at all, as you can just clear outposts and do the side shit to earn more toys to experiment with, without even touching the story. It's there for when you get tired of messing around, and that's about it.

Luckily, messing around is the name of the game, and it never stops being creative and interesting. There is just so much variety to all the chaos you can create, that a lack of a good campaign doesn't even matter. If you just want to chill and play a real "game" where the only limits are your imagination, this is it. I spent a good hour and a half just trying get a car attached to the fan blade of a giant wind turbine, and then using it to launch myself a million miles in the air...and it worked.

Turn-based combat isn't really my thing, but Clair Obscur most definitely is my thing. I have completed Act 1, and
RIP Gustave
. Was not expecting that and this antagonist is menacing - the sound of his arrival is scary and makes me shiver every time I hear it.

I played a little and already died at Nephro, Captain of the Guard. Definitely got a shellacking.

@Cantalope

Started Signalis. Very much feels/plays like sci-fi Resident Evil one and it's good so far but I'm only at the first "boss". Very PS1 aesthetic with well designed immersive details like flashbacks and screen glitches to support the computer/future tech theme and notes and memos both fleshing out the story and helping with puzzles. The game is often recommended so I figure I'd give it a shot, it also rose in price until a recent rerelease happened iirc so I scooped it from VGP (which is a great site for Switch games)...

Dying Light.

I was grinding a bit in the Stuffed Turtle.

A guy jumped into my game and gave me top-tier weapons and a load of medkits and locks. It really helped me, him giving me weapons that can decapitate a zombie with one shot.

He bugged me about going to Teamspeak but I never had the time.

Until yesterday.

I joined him and his friends, and they were the most squeakiest to ever squeak. They must have been in single digits in terms of age. I don't even know if they were little boys or little girls.

The kid played as a hunter and I played with the other kid trying to get the nests. We lost, as I don't have much experience dealing with multiplayer.

The kid started taunting us, not too graphic but a few swears here and there. I think the kid may have been good all in all, just excitable. The other kid started getting angry, accusing the kid of spamming, whilst the kid just said that he/she just wasn't good enough. He then complained that I was UV lighting volatiles.

I'm thirty-eight. I just say there quietly, awkwardly, feeling old as shit, wishing that I never bought the game in the first place, until I said...

"Look fellas. With respect, I think that you may all be a bit young for me. It's only a game. I'm too old and I have no time for arguing. Take care."

The other kid said that it wasn't me, but I was done, so I X'd out and I haven't switched the Xbox on since.

Finished Yakuza 5 and probably my least fave one yet and glad I got it over with. Way to many Random Battles that you are forced to do. The mini games like Hunting, Taxi Driving and Princess League were mid to annoying. The story is waaaay to long and I didn't like the lack of save spots and Item Boxes. The changes I did like about it were the characters (Haruka and Akiyama are GOATEs. Shinada kinda sucks) and new locations. Nice seeing other spots besides the usual Sotenbori, Kamurocho and Morning Glory.

Started Yakuza 6: Song of Life yesterday and can already tell the difference in quality with the series being on the Dragon Engine again. Played for about an hour and about 50 minutes of that was fucking cut scenes. RGG needs to tone it down with this shit.

After that I caved and bought and played Trepang2. Holy shit this game is frustrating but still fun when you get a good flow state going. Hard to play these twitch style shooters on a gamepad. I like how it's kinda like Fear and Crysis with the cloaking and Focus (slow down time).

Really was enjoying Anthem too but no one on my friends list wants to try it so got a little sad playing solo but hoping to get back into it this week.

Nightreign duo mode is so much better than 3 players randomly running around

Great game, great series. Open world sandbox insanity done right in so many ways.

Yea I wasn't a fan of 5 either. Like you said it was way to long. The only character I ended up liking was Akiyama. Was great to see his origin story as well although maybe that wasn't in this game where you see how he got started, I forget. Yakuza 6 is much better.

Black Myth Wukong

Ok, I got to chapter two and the game is starting to click a little bit, I beat the last three bosses on my first try. I got the house to myself for the next two days and its hot as fuck outside so hopefully i can plow through this. Might try to respec around the freeze ability a bit more tonight. Game looks spectacular but the invisible walls are maddening.

"Descenders 2"

It's essentially a snowboarding game with some rogue like elements. You basically see how far you can go on a run on a bunch of randomly generated hills, and earn certain perks to keep you going until you eventually run out of lives and have to start over. The game itself is pretty good, albeit very punishing. Almost sim-like in it's gameplay. It ain't easy. It feels really good to play, though. You feel the speed and the danger at every turn, and the controls are very responsive, if not a bit unorthodox. Nothing you can't get used to, though. When you fuck up, you know it's you and not the game.

The game for me is a bit of a forgettable time waster I might dick around with here and there, but if you're into these types of games, I could see some getting hooked.

It takes a bit of time and effort but once you get the hang it can be extremely fun and rewarding

I beat battle brothers today/m. Which sounds like “oh wow you beat a game. But I’ve put close to 200 hours into this game and have lost my party via party wipe at least 20-30 times. It’s a hard ass game plain and simple, but the combat is super fun.

There’s 4 different “end games” and I just did the goblin invasion. I’ll probably try a new end game crisis and see how that works out for me.

Fighting the goblins is crazy cause they have nets, traps, blow darts, acid. They are just kind of crazy utility wise and can bog down your party fast. But my front line by the time we got to them was just a killing machine. And once we got lined up and ready to fight, it’s crushing skulls, windpipes, people losing limbs….it got ugly fast for the other guys nearly every time.

It also helps I had 2 really good ranger units I made that could 1 shot most units.

I do love games like this one where you can lose units permanently and try to forge ahead, it always creates a level of tension to every fight. At any moment a little carelessness or not taking the game seriously, not being prepared, rushing ahead, not keeping formation…and boom you’re boys gone forever.

I think next scenario I’ll try is the holy war.
