Ended up buying Mandragora when it was on sale 2-3 weeks back, but I've yet to fire it up. Apparently there were issues with some trophies not unlocking, but the devs have been working to address those problems. Reviews I've read have been generally positive, and there's a demo available if you'd prefer to get a feel first. I'm not sure if save data carries forward though.
Ah, thanks so much for the heads-up. I love platting Metroidvanias in general so may want to wait for a patch addressing the issue. Going to grab that demo in the interim!

Been playing Life is Strange Double Exposure.

This one is more of a mind fuck than the previous ones.

Beat KCD2 this weekend. Really enjoyed the game..

My main issues are. The second area's side quest just feel pointless honestly. They aren't as intertwined into the main quest as they are in the first area. There were several points that had massive difficulty spikes for no reason and I had to find ways to cheese it online.

The story was pretty good but I honestly preferred the first games story more. It had a decent ending but I'm kind of shocked at how little it gets talked about. The way people slam Mass Effect 3 for the choices and the overall way things end. I would expect this game to get it even worse but I never even saw people talk about it. To me the good\bad ending in this game is just pointless and means nothing to me. Maybe to the other people it would mean something. Hard to explain without spoiling.

With that said the immersion in this game is second to none. The stealth is so damn good in this one I damn near maxed out all my stealth\thievery skills in this game. I might go back to it and play more just for that because it's such a unique experience I'm in awe everytime the game loads up.

Lost in Random: The Eternal Die

It's got me by the balls now, but goddamn is the final boss an absolute prick. I have to remind myself how long it took me to make one escape in "Hades" to calm me down, LOL. Good news is that it's structured in a similar way and is always giving you something in the hub world to make you feel like you actually did something.

I think this game might be a bit more balanced. Still haven't run into that absolute "melt" build that "Hades" has. I've had great builds, but not any real OP ones yet. Still unlocking shit though, so you never know.

I just love these types of games. They really let you know that you're getting better and better. The first boss seemed impossible at first. Now it's a joke that I can beat flawlessly, LOL.

BTW, Axel is GOATED... along with Adam.
But my main in SOR4 is Cherry
I unlocked Adam halfway through my SoR4 playthrough so I got to experiment with him. His skillset is gangster, agreed!

I hated playing as the Balrog char, Floyd? Is Cherry the one with the guitar?

Finished Lies Of P: Overture. Probably gonna try Sekiro again.

I rage quit years ago when it was my first Fromsoft game and my original foray into challenging action games. I booted it up maybe a year ago but got immediately distracted by another game.

There's nothing on my radar until Wuchang releases so i think i'll focus on Sekiro and give that a long overdue conclusion.

Got the Platinum for Prince of Persia’s Lost Crown last night. Feels good. Epic, four-phase final battle. End-game score was percussive, evocative, awesome.

Very, very fun game with nice cadence of combat and traversal. Story picked up toward the end and post-game cinematic was long and cool despite not being a fan of the game’s art style.

Currently committing more to Death Stranding 1 to see again if I can get into it.

I’ve also the past week stopped playing my usual Apex and Valorant to trial the big X update to Rainbow Six Siege. Pretty cool and nice change of pace.

Finally got around to playing Khazan again and WOW, did they nerf this entire game. Thank fuck too I was just never going to finish it. I was at 60 hours and barely over halfway before I blew through it today. I went through three main bosses in a row without dying. Got all the way to Ozma. Will hopefully finish in the next day or two.

While I'm waiting for Mafia, borderlands, outer Worlds 2, etc. decided to redownload the series x version of GTA v and go back online for the first time in seven years @Hyperglide

Crazy how much they've added. I hadn't even seen the casino update and all of these extra heists. It took me like four days of playing to even figure out how to play the game again.

I am going to buy Stardew Valley. I have been playing test games and I am taking a break.

Oh try out Quarantine Zone. It has a demo on steam and full game is coming out end of summer.

Yeah, I had a similar experience with GTA Online. It's crazy at what they have now. It is damn close to an actual living city. I totally wrote off the online shit after a brief stint with it when it launched. Went back like 8 years later, and I can totally understand how people get hooked on it now. Sadly, I also know why Rockstar isn't too keen on hitting the reset button with GTA VI. That's a lot of work to just throw away and start over again.

I was reading something on Reddit that during covid GTA online was practically a meta verse

Khazan: First Berserker 7.5/10 (edit 8.5)

As much as I enjoyed this game I can't help but feel that if it wasn't for the amazing art style it would have been just another Soulslike for 50% off a month after release on Steam. Yes, the reflection mechanic is satisfying af but every game has their own version of that. It also overstayed it's welcome. Too long and hard for all the wrong reasons.

Edit: ok re-reading this I was a bit harsh. It's an awesome game and an 8.5 all day.

Almost got Death Stranding 2 but after watching some reviews I decided to try the 1st one since it's on PS+ and I'm not sure these games are going to be for me.

I always said that the game is super overwhelming for old players coming back because of all the new updates. They just had the most recent update (Money Fronts) come out 3 weeks ago. Mostly minor updates at this point because GTA Online is almost 12 years old. The last update rumoured before GTA VI is in December and you may finally buy Mansion which was datamined with the last update.

Here's all the updates they've added since 2013..

These videos show the ridiculous size of this game and these were only up to 2023 and 2024..

Yeah the last time I went on they just introduced the biker gang and executive business/warehouse office update

I had some guy blowing me up out of nowhere the other day every few minutes. I couldn't figure out for the life of me where the guy was. It took me 15 minutes to figure out mofo was chilling in a submarine way out in the ocean launching missiles. By the time I figured out that submarines were a thing and went to get a jet to flyover on his ass, he left.

It's been fun playing it again after all this time but once some more games start coming out in the next month or two Ill probably be over it. Once I get though everything I'm waiting for in the second half of the year, beginning of next year, GTA VI will out and the process will start all over again lol

Pretty sure everyone is ready for VI at this point. Everyone I used to play hardcore with left years back except for @Wrath of Foamy whom is a real one.

Problem is it's hard to find other decent open world co op games that aren't survival games or some rogue like shit or a live service game.

I just started up Anthem as EA is finally sun-setting the servers in Jan 2026..

Wanted to try it before it's gone for good.

Liking it so far only level 8, with a Ranger Javelin, but I can already see why everyone was complaining. The gameplay and aerial combat is like Mass Effect Andromeda supercharged.. so that part is great.

The enemy variety and loot suck though no unique weapons or components, so once I finish the campaign I am done. I thought Divisions loot was bad.

EA should've just made Anthem a single player game and stopped trying to be greedy like another Destiny, Division or Warframe clone they wanted Anthem to be so hard.
