What are Jones' best wins in your opinion?

Literally nobody said this but okay Michelangelo.

Here you go...

I hope, if JJ wants ofc that he fights Pereira in November. Pereira tho, would be the best opponent he'd have ever faced.

You're arguing with my response when you didnt even read the original post I was replying to.

t's all fake. Everything's determined by whether you like fighters or not around here.

Any way you look at it, at the time Shogun fought Jon he was 19-4, while Poatan is 12-3 and probably close to retirement.

Also beating Machida, Chuck, Rampage, Reem, Arona, Lil Nog > beating Izzy, Jiri, Strickland, Hill, Jan and Khalil

I like Poatan a lot btw. So its nothing to do with that.

Even without the Jones losses DC was nearly KO’d by Rumble, then nearly KO’d by Gus and arguably lost a decision to him, then was getting out grappled by Rumble with the dumbest gameplan and worst cardio of all time, and was hurt by 197lb post gallbladder surgery losing streak Silva.

I don’t know know where this idea came from that DC was some unstoppable juggernaut at LHW came from. Maybe if you only watched barista Cummins, Old Man Hendo, and can Volkan, guys with no business in title fights.
I watched all of DC’s fights. I stand by what I said. I’ve seen the same type excuses made about literally any fighter. He won those all and that’s all that matters

LOL I just realised you posted this right before telling me to "put some respect" on Poatans name.

Propping up Poatan and shitting on DC. Do you just come up with shitty takes intentionally for a laugh or something?

No, Stipe was on point that night.
Stipe looked terrible against Cormier III, Ngannou II, and Jones. All the wars he was in and no time to recover properly. Then he comes out of retirement to fight Jones for a big payday with no other motivation. You could tell in the opening rounds against Ngannou II and Jones that Stipe had almost no chance to win.
So yes, that was not a washed Stipe
He was beyond washed. It was one of the most embarrassing fights I've ever seen in modern UFC. A retired 42-year-old coming off of a loss and three year layoff jumping the line against an actual ready to fight interim champion.

It's arguably one of the most laughable championship fights in UFC history in terms of the matchmaking.

Machida (because of the brutal sub), DC and Glover (because of their massive winning streak when they fought).

Pride fans will say Shogun was out of his prime for the first Forrest fight because he was injured magically post Pride, out of his prime for the Jones fight after KOing Machida, but then magically good for the Forrest 2 fight months later when he wins in the 1st. Or after that with his FOTY against Hendo they say he got robbed in.

All the while never once acknowledging that Forrest was even more injured than Shogun for their fights as he had a completely useless arm. Or how in the rematch Forrest was dealing with a shit weight cut fighting in Brazil as there was no distilled water, let alone he had a wife in labour at the moment that made him not even want to fight any more as he just wanted to get back to the US ASAP and should've been pulled. All that doesn't count.

i agree, but those people are just afraid to admit that the better fighter won that night. That’s all it boils down to.

The guy i replied said he gives Jones more credit for beating Evan’s because he was in his “primes”. Evans 18 fights into his career with past knee injury and hand injury entered the bout against Jones bout, using his formula for Shogun and aplying it to Evan’s, then Evan’s was out of his prime vs Jones. The double standards are ridiculous just to diminish Jones.

#1 Decision over DC
#2 Machida
#3 Rampage
#4 Rashad
#5 Shogun
#6 Glover

Shogun win is low because Shogun decided to fight with a torn CL again

All the other wins are whatever TBH
proof of Shoguns torn CL vs Jones?

edit: I got you girl, this isn’t a typo either.

You out here making up lies again?

fair enough, meant Jiri
I figured you meant Jiri. Just giving you shit.

But Glover was different from Stipe because Glover was just old, but Stipe was old AND not a title contender. You can't be the #1 contender when you got KTFO then sat on your couch for 3 years instead of getting back in the cage and earning another title shot.

Jon just wanted an easier fight against a big name and he thought the fans were too dumb to realize what he was doing.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You're so obsessed with me that you have to reply to my every post and youre still so bitter that I proved you unequivocally wrong the last time.

Ok, so here it is. Get yourself ready. Make sure you're sitting down. I know you just cant comprehend what's about to happen because you cant ever fathom doing this yourself. I remembered it wrong. There. Its not really that big of a deal to admit that....

Ok now that you've woken up from fainting. And who knows maybe you even masturbated to me saying I remembered something incorrectly, Here is why.

Shogun had a shit ton of injuries in his career prior to him fighting JBJ. I know I know. Injuries dont matter and have no affect whatsoever once surgery has been done. None of that affects athletic performance in the slightest. I mean Shogun was still in his 30s. And just like Kobe or Durant or Derrick Rose or any other athlete who isn't 40 yet that means they are in their absolute prime (I mean look at those 3 I mentioned, they were unchanged post surgery) so of course 3 knee surgeries with the most recent one (at that time) being less than a year prior to their fight means nothing and it was the absolute best version of Shogun of all time since he had just won the belt. Who cares that he had a 3rd knee surgery. Surely you dont.

I looked it up cuz of course you love to leave out context in your every unpromoted reply to me due to your obsession.

So yes he had no active knee injury going into that fight. It was just for the Forrest 1 and Machida 2 fights. Again I know to you even going into to a fight with an active injury makes no difference every single time but for those interested here are a few links that actually tell more of the story with Shogun and his many injuries

So yes sweetheart sure JBJ faced the absolute best version of Shogun. Fighters from Pride just suck and only won belts against no body amateurs in the UFC.

There, there. I hope it helps you sleep now

His best win was getting his suspension reduced from 48 months to barely over a year.

Yeah dude. Forrest should have just cut his arm off since it was so useless that he never used it to throw punches, defend himself or grapple. It just dangled like a wet noodle.

And you're right about the weight cut thing. A bad weight cut and a wife in labor is far more difficult to deal with than a damaged ACL. Everyone knows that an ACL injury has always been a minor injury that just needs a little ice. Its not like people cant walk, much less run or fight with that type of injury. I mean even if it did hurt a little, just grapple bro. Its not like your knee is needed in order to do cardio or move around. ACLs are as useful as an appendix.

Good call put on Shogun fighting Forrest just a few months after Machida. I forgot that was for the belt.

I'll admit, it's fun to watch Sherdog trash hall of fame caliber fighters for the sake of sticking it to Jones. As if Shogun and Machida aren't widely respected on here otherwise.

I'll throw out a win nobody is talking about, Stephan Bonnar. That's a dangerous opponent for anyone, let alone a rookie like Jones was. He didn't just win either, he big brother'd him with highlight reel unseen technique.

If Jones were starting off today he'd get 6 tune up fights before reaching somebody on that level.

Lol, again you using his 2nd hand 3rd hand accounts, I rather hear it from the man himself, which the link Shogun did.

But sure keep using other people than the person actually fighting. Lol

So you’re telling me Shogun Rua is a liar? You said he was injured “active CL tear”, I posted a link with the man fighting, Mauricio Rua saying he was not injured going into that fight.

Wow, you mother fuckers are the worst, you try so hard diminish Jones win over Shogun and I that process your shitting on Rua himself practically calling him liar with no dignity.

You PridefC nuthuggers and Jones haters are a piece of work.

Glover and Vitor. Both were surging at that time. His other great wins were either young, washed up, coming off injuries, have been knocked out before he fought them or he got a judges gift decision.
