Tom couldn’t even do something that two much older heavyweight champs have done before him. Cyril is essentially the Heavyweight Gatekeeper. An eye poke is essentially another jab, if tom actually had good defense or head movement he wouldn’t have taken the shot to the face that “poked his eye” even though it’s a legit technique that was clearly effective on Tom. Hurt him so bad he cried to his corner, and Jon has the best eye pokes in the game and can legally pulse.
