We need MVP vs Izzy ASAP

Would be a great fight to make. I could see it being a bit of a stinker though, with neither really engaging much - but gotta make it anyways.

I think MVP has a chance of getting a shot at the title with another big win or two, and given his age would love to see it. Izzy I think is on the way out/starting the downfall.

Two great strikers but unfortunately this fight would have a high potential being considered really boring.

Two defensive strikers with great footwork and distance.

The fight doesn't mean anything. Izzy is a two time champ, UFC needs to put him in matches where the opponents can build their names off him. Not fighting old guys like MVP who will never be title contenders.

dude it’s the UFC. You can be a title contender overnight, out of nothing. MVP could be fighting for a belt within two KOs and a clever three piece chicken nugget line.

Would love to see this. But prolly won't happen due to all the reasons discussed in this thread already.

Not the best match up, but I'd take MVP in their current form.

MVP is a welterweight title contender, make no mistakes, barring a crotch sniffing disaster situation.

As fun as that sounds on paper…
I have a feeling it’ll largely be a staring match with a couple exciting almost moments, which will end up with them hugging in octagon after 3 rounds of posturing and posing

I think it would be a bad fight to make. I dont think their styles make for an exciting fight.

Izzy needs a win, give him a guy with mediocre wrestling and subpar striking. Brendon Allen

"He needs a win"

Then maybe he should just win a fight instead of booking him against a bum

That's what winning a fight is lol. Fighters who are on a tough streak generally will take a step down and fight a favorable style match up.
